It's a good thing Bones didn't premiere this week or I really would have had a geekasm. Criminal Minds & Supernatural in one week was about all I could handle. Even my beau watched it with me after Top chef. He hates the show but for some reason last night he really enjoyed it. Anyway, can't wait till Dean's car is back to beautiful.

"Coolest people are freaks!" Gotta appreciate it. Loved the Kitsune-Sam story, sad ending though, but i guess Dean had to stay in character... :roll:

There's no way he's gone for good, he was a great character. He still has to redeem himself to Dean, so he's got to come back some time.

I read a few spoilers; I know Misha is coming back - what I do not know is if it will be as Cas. That said, I do think that if it isn't as Castiel, he'll resurface at least at some point before the finale. Which is good. Because the "ending" they gave was far too "blah" for Cas.

Misha Collins has also been working as co-creator and producer of (and acting in) "Divine" with Ivan Hayden, the visual effects coordinator from "Supernatural." Ivan is the creator, producer and director. I was surprised that Divine hasn't popped up on Monstrous' radar; I'll post the info in this Monstrous TV section.

I'm in the film industry, actually. I talked to Ivan about the production once and I've seen the episodes thus far. Its filming schedule has / will not clash with Supernatural from my understanding.
@Nina - Cas will return in (I think) episode 8 or 9. Can't remember.

Knew it, said it a few posts back. Though thanks for the reassurance Brielle. He needs to redeem himself to Dean, everyone knows it, and for me he can't stay dead until then. Though I'd rather he not die lol, great character, especially when Dean goes to the 'future' and sees the Castiel that has 'let loose' lol.

No prob. Future!Castiel was both hilarious and tragic - still not sure how I feel about him. But I'm excited. (Actually, Sera is trying to confuse fans by saying Cas may not be the one who returns, but Misha will - as I said earlier - but according to my source he will be restored or something at the end of that or the next episode - so no worries. Cas will be back. This we know.)
Besides, with Kripke back on board, I don't think we'll have lame-ass endings for good characters. Remember Eve? No? I don't blame you. Lame-ass ending.

I remember her, all that build up and bam, lame ending. But I still thought it was kind of cool how Dean got her.

Next week's episode is pretty neat, so far as they go this season. Remember Pumpkin and Honey Bunny, "All right, everybody be cool, this is a robbery!"

Fortunately for male viewers the title "Slash Fiction" ("a genre of fan fiction that focuses on the depiction of romantic or sexual relationships between fictional characters of the same sex") isn't literal. Although I can't help feeling that a huge chunk of the fan base might be disappointed by that.

The whole season fires on 3 cylinders instead of 4. They totally messed up the development of season 6, threw out a lot of good ideas for Castiel's arc, and by the end it had become a trainwreck. That was, imho, all down to choosing SG to take over from EK. EK took over for the final 2-parter, but he was never good at classy finales, and he had so much to try and tie up because of SG's poor handling of the plot development earlier. The season 7 premiere, where they then had to undo the ridiculous "I am God" situation was heavy handed and pretty desperate. This season goes way to the other end of the spectrum by trying to recapture the monster-of-the-week format of season 1. Which I thought was pretty lame. Plus they're pushing the boat out again for the dumb blonde audience - not very challenging plots, not too many supporting characters. As Misha called it a few weeks back: "the reality show about the two mentally-challenged underwear-model brothers trying to impress God..."
I was talking to a friend earlier who - up until the end of season 6 - lived and breathed Supernatural. I asked her how she was finding the new season, and she said, "I haven't watched it. I'm so over it."
They're really gonna have to pull rabbits out of their ...hats to get a season 8, I predict. This season's wedding episode isn't as smart as they think.

Trust me, I know all the going-ons of the Supernatural behind the scenes and just why it's sucked thus far. Season 7 looked good, apart from this past episode.
Sera Gamble tends to overstep her "catering to the fandom" thing, so they might just try to push the slash innuendos here and there - which, by the way, I'm not really in the mood for whatsoever. Just glad that Eric Kripke is back on board, even if it isn't as showrunner, because at least he can push the show in the right direction.

I think he means if only all you had to do was stab something with a knife that kills (almost) anything, or you shoot them with a gun that kills (almost) anything.
Just finished watching the episode about Osiris, and yeah, not one of their better ones. Still, it was nice to see that girl again, the one who's name I will never remember on my own.
I actually don't hate the 'monster-of-the-week' format, I mean, it's still better than most shows out there. What they need to do though is actually have the episodes advance the story and characters each time. I mean, House MD is a 'disease-of-the-week' format, but I enjoy it. Why? Characters and overall story progression. Also, Hugh Laurie is awesome.

I see, true, but still they had to work hard sort of speak to get the knife (and the pistol). They are lucky for having Bobby IMHO. They would sooo be dead (again) without him. Also, they have been trained for the job since their earliest age, so that certainly gives them heads up.

If they would get the old format back I would enjoy it better. But maybe its just me with my love for Angels and Demons stories *shrugs*

Probably lol, but give it time, I think they can do something with the whole Leviathan thing. And yeah, Bobby, awesome. And the fact that he handles so much and more hunters than just Sam and Dean. They would have died way back when without him. Watching the newest episode right now and it's 'alright', but want to see Bobby come back in to play.

Thought 'Maggies' acting was a bit terrible lol. The episodes was somewhat funny, but it didn't do much for story progression other than 'we caught one of these things now'.

Oh! To clarify. When I said this:
Season 7 looked good, apart from this past episode.
I meant the Witch Wars episode. Didn't like it much at all. That said, some of it was hilarious. The working out, for one, and the pie. Apart from that - zip. Nada.
Osiris episode was completely unnecessary. All it did was reiterated Dean's guilt and informed us that he might well have a drinking problem. That said, not quite as bad as the witch episode. On the other hand, from what I've heard of the rest of the season, it should improve.
