Title: She Has An Unwanted Guest
Post by: TeteoInan on October 01, 2011, 07:58:55 am
A friend of mine has been living in this house of hers for about 8 years now, it was her Mother's, Grandmother's... When the kids have gotten old enough, the house gets passed to one of them and the parents move out to something smaller to avoid "Empty nest" syndrome. It's her 17 yr old son, a dog, herself and her husband.
Anyhow, there has NEVER been anything unusual that they weren't comfortable with. Maybe some random critter in the attic, or a trinket that ends up where it's not suppose to be every so many days or so. Maybe just a reminder that "hey, I'm here, still" and it's always been believed that it's a little girl that died of Cholera there. Always clockwork. She says 4 days would pass, and a figurine would be on the kitchen table, or the centerpiece of her coffee table would be on the dresser.

She sent me a message on FBook a few days ago and just started rambling about things going on in her house. We eventually both dismissed it as this little girl, because nothing "bad" had happened.
Last night, however, she calls me up and puts me on speaker phone. No idea what was going on, but I stayed quiet like she asked. I don't know, 5 maybe 10 minutes passed and I could hear what sounded like a little girl screaming, and then it sounded like she was in an Earthquake. So, I started asking her a bunch of questions.

Nothing was moved out of place the day it was suppose to be.
Almost immediately after sunset that day is when things started that were "strange". They heard a little girl scream, so she went upstairs to investigate while her husband tried listening to the neighbors on both sides. When she got upstairs, her door was shut ( which it never is ) and she couldn't open it. The other doors were normal but the bathroom door was wide open ( it stays shut so their dog doesn't get into the garbage or toilet ). She stood at her door and listened for awhile, then she heard crying, and the house started "vibrating".
She tried the door again, and it opened just fine. She saw nothing, felt nothing, and nothing looked out of place but the crying was still going on. So she called out, and asked if everything was okay. The crying stopped, and the house started "shaking". She asked if she needed to leave the room, heard nothing but the shaking had gone back to just a vibrating. So she left the room.
She had a nightmare that night, of a "deformed man beast" rampaging through the house, and terrorizing her dog and her son. In the dream, she kept seeing a little girl in reflective surfaces, reaching out and sobbing.

During the day, the house is peaceful except for her room. There's an "edgy" feeling to it, that makes her not want to stay there for very long. So she sleeps in the living room. Her husband has been in the habit of falling asleep downstairs at night when he gets off work, anyhow.
It's after Sunset that things happen. She is "not allowed" to go into her room, at night.

Last night, the reason she called to begin with, was because she got attacked and she believes her son did as well.
He went to bed early, because he'd been up playing videogames and had school yesterday. But he ended up running down the stairs, saying "oh s**t" over and over again. He looked her and apparently had a look of panic, and then he took a breath and went to the kitchen. She followed him, asked what was wrong, and he told her he had a dream about things "eating" him. A snake had his arm, hundreds of spiders had his legs. These are things he likes, things he wants as pets but he's having a nightmare of them eating him. He said when he woke up, he saw something at the foot of his bed that sortof looked like a jellyfish, and it lashed out at him. She checked where he said he felt the sting on his leg, and there were 3 ragged welts about 7 inches long.
She went upstairs to go to the bathroom, and decided to try her door. It opened just fine this time, with no problem whatsoever, but she was in there for only a minute or two before she heard the little girl scream and then a roar like how you hear the wind blowing against your window. She tried to leave, and something grabbed her arms, and started shaking her. The little girl screamed again, and she twisted away and ran out of the room.

That's when she called. She said the house was vibrating as she was dialing, and when I picked up the whole thing stopped.
I wasn't aware things could be heard from over the phone like that... but I listened to it, and when it stopped I had her place salt around the couch where her and her son were sitting, and told her to turn off anything they didn't need. Leave the lamp on if she wanted, and read a book or two. I told her to call me if it got worse. She didn't, but she sent me a message today and said she found something that looked like dried blood in the bathtub, and that she's worried things are going to get worse tonight.

I talked to my boss and the pastor of the church I work at, and they believe it's a Demon.
Unfortunately, the people around here that are suppose to be able to perform an exorcism want more money than my friend can afford, or they've been written off as scam artists.
I gave her a list of incense and herbs to try to see if this alleviates any of the issue, she chose Frankincense and Basil. I also showed her a couple different protective circles and how to set them if her or her son felt threatened. I guess it's a waiting game. If anything else continues tonight, I'm going to go over there with a couple of my students to try and see if we can't record anything of this and find out what's going on.

But, any ideas other than what I've got right now?

That sounds like a trouble. Her room is a center of the anger? Little girl is trapped in the mirrors in her dreams, and there is a deformed man beast thing. First thing that I find a bit weird is that no one that lived there before them said anything about these sort of events if i got it right? If not, then it could be something that has been brought into the house maybe something old that they bought at the antique store? She can try praying with her friends, more of them is better. Salt is good, but only around the couch is too small to have effect other than keep them a safe place to sit on.  Iron in their pockets, under the beds. I dont have a feeling that burning incense could really help with this case, u say her son has physical wounds and marks, incense wouldnt work here other than help other things, like salt, iron, pray... Id recommend a medium come there and check it out, after that an exorcism, just in case, before it gets worse.

The incense and salt I suggested were for her and her family. I did forget the Iron, and she scoffed at the idea of praying.

I suggested the Medium to her, and she's going to make some calls. She said the only thing new in the house are some China dishes her mother gave her. Her Mother has never had a problem but she said she'll have the dishes looked into, anyhow.

I'm going to talk to her son, and see if he's messed with anything stupid lately and doesn't want to admit it. With the group that he hangs out with, it wouldn't surprise me.

She can make any pray she finds protective, doesnt have to be a catholic one. Also, yeah, check her son, him being the only one that really got hurt, he would be a good place to start.

Any ideas what this thing could be?

First off, anyone who says they will perform an exorcism but only for a certain amount of money isn't someone to trust. Finding out about the little girl is a simple matter of checking town records. Don't just check into the house specifically but the property. As for why it started recently or what it might be, find a reputable medium & that may give you some more leads. Iron, salt, Dragon's Blood oil (its an herb, readily available at any new age store), smudging every room of the house in particular her room & her son's. I wouldn't encourage her to try communicating with it herself through anything like a ouija board since that is likely to escalate things.

I agree with Countess.

Well, you already said you gave her a list of herbs, and Countess mentioned another one. I'm going to Pm you a couple phone numbers.

Depending on where she lives she might wanna worry about ley lines.

Of course you know all that.

It's hard to tell what it is, but I'll put money on demon. If you get a call at like, 7:10 then there ya go.

still, Ley lines were there before they got there, so the signs would be obvious primary to that. It doesn't necessarily have to be a demon, with kids those age, it could easily mean a poltergeist. You know how they can be sensitive at that age, specially with moving and all....

 Ahhh, teens ;)

Unfortunately, that's what this area is full of. People you can't trust. It's very hard to get any kind of help around here, or even find another person interested in the "occult" that isn't Fake. They're having a hard time finding records of the little girl, without knowing her name or anything else. The entire area had a different set of addresses and it all changed shortly after her Grandmother got the place.
She has a medium coming in, to try and help her identify what the entity is, too.
Dragon's blood was on the list I gave her, she "didn't care for it's smell".
She thinks ouija boards are nothing more than a toy, and it's belief in it that makes it work. Same thing with the oils, incense, herbs, stones, all of it.
All in all, she's a rather difficult person to work with to try and help, because she has no religion of her own, and believes only in what she can prove.

Depending on where she lives she might wanna worry about ley lines.

There's a major line running pretty close to the house, but I'm not going to be bringing up anything about it to her unless it's definitely something that's an issue. That the house doesn't sit right on top of it, makes it less likely the line has anything to do with the sudden appearance.

You know how they can be sensitive at that age, specially with moving and all....

He's definitely sensitive. Instead of just hearing the little girl, and noticing things move around like his parents, he's Seen her, and not in a dream.
He's apparently seen and felt other things when he's visited friends or gone hiking.

Moving?

Sorry, not moving there, I was reading something else and confused two things, my current illness is making me a bit whoozy. But still, being 17, and playing with stuff you shouldnt could bring a lot of trouble. But it could be pretty damn hard to get the truth out of him...

The Medium went in last night, and found nothing.

They did some typical EVP work as well, and took some cameras in... and found nothing.

But she called me this morning, about 7am, freaking out because she woke up with every mirror in her house was shattered, every cooking pot looked like it had been burnt, and every window had something like toothpaste smeared all over it.

Her son slept like a baby, the dog was outside for the night. She had nothing in her dreams she can recall.

So this thing is intelligent, and apparently does work only when the Sun is not up. Sunrise was 7:20am.

Id seriously consider putting video cameras in every room of the house. And not tell the son about it ;)

An intelligent entity can hide itself from whomever it chooses. Nina's idea of video cameras, with night vision capability, is an excellent one. This way not only will they have proof of the activity,  they may actually catch an image of the entity, plus if it does hide from strangers it is more likely her setting up cameras will catch something.

She says, while her son was at school she opened up all of the curtains in the house, cleaned all the reflections, and placed the cameras she borrowed in his room ( hidden ), her room, the bathroom and the dining room. Hopefully we'll catch something. She's terrified, but trying to remain as calm as possible. I told her to control her thoughts and try to calm her energy, and if she couldn't, try soothing music, tea and a good book. Here's hoping we catch something, and here's hoping nothing extreme happens.

Great, it is very important that she doesnt panic. If there is an entity there, it would only feed it.

Only one of the cameras recorded anything, but she's bringing them over so I can have a look. She's bringing her Medium and her son, as well.
She told me the nightmares got worse and she's so scared something bad is going to happen she's going to have her son stay with his aunt and cousins until the "situation is handled".

I don't guess I blame her, and here's hoping we get some answers off those vids.

The nightmares could be a big clue. See if she can write them down, anything she can remember about the dream. There are cases of entities, human not just demonic, causing dreams/nightmares as a way of showing what happened. Let us know what the one camera caught & she should leave them up for multiple nights to the point where she pretty much forgets they are even there. That will make a more natural setting & possibly allow more to be recorded.

Right, one night of shooting it prolly wont show a lot.

So, I'm a little more confused now than I was in the beginning I think.

I asked her to write her previous dreams down, and any that may come up, and she's given me permission to share one of them, which she'll email so I don't have to type out...
But the video freaked her out so badly she left the camera ( and her coffee & purse, too ) on top of the jeep as she went to leave. Not sure if it was done on purpose, or if she was just that distracted. Either way, it's messed up, both because of the coffee and the fall off the vehicle. I don't know the extent of it, but her Medium guy is kinda upset about it.

I did get to see something though. There's a streetlight outside their window, so they keep the curtains closed at night. I felt like I was trying to watch a flower or something, because I could see something, but couldn't identify it as a figure until it was almost completely formed. I don't think it was entirely solid, but it blocked the stream of light as if it was coming from in between the curtains. The guy fast forwarded, and for about 10 minutes or so the figure just stands there. So I began to think maybe there was one of those nocturnal type birds outside the window, just creating a bigger shadow because of where it was in comparison to the light, then then the figure moved to the dresser, and faded like it had appeared.

She called me when she got home, and said that she checked the curtains and her dresser. Nothing was off about the dresser, but the curtains looked like they had been melted together. ( She described it like taking a lighter to plastic and then pressing it while still soft )
So, I'm a little more confused than I was in the first place. But it seems like this thing just doesn't like Light, at all.
She took the curtains down and replaced them with ones that still let light in even when they're closed, at my suggestion.
The cameras are going to be recording for the next few days. ( This is as long as the Medium and his team are comfortable with leaving their equipment, now. )

Well, I'm clueless about it as of right now. Give me old Ghost stories, about things like the screaming skulls, and I know my way around. Give me this stuff and I'm lost.
I'd go there myself, but I'm in a high risk pregnancy, so I won't be doing much of anything for awhile as far as all that is concerned.

She's refusing to give me updates, but she's telling me that she's staying there with her brother now, because she's terrified of being alone. Her son is still staying with other relatives. I'm concerned, even more so now that I don't know what's going on and if she's alright.

In all honesty, I'm beginning to think she doesn't want other people involved because she's found out that her son is the reason all this started. One of my students apparently goes to school with him, and has told me about how strange he's been acting lately. I asked her to try and get a real conversation going with him, and see if she could steer it in the occult direction. Apparently, once he realized that's what they were talking about, he got very angry with her and avoided her the rest of the day.

I'm going to let this go. If she comes back for more help, I may post in here again. Until then, Thank you all for your help and advice on this!

As do we all! :P do make sure she can go ahead and use protective / preventative measures. Always useful - regardless of religion. I'm sure you know which ones I mean.
