Title: Its the End of the World as we know it! Do you feel fine?
Post by: Nina on October 09, 2011, 01:20:38 pm
(http://doomsday-prophecy.maxupdates.tv/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/End-of-the-World-Prophecies-a.jpg)

Yes, I started the topic T, cause you didnt tz tz tz *waves her finger in front of T* It was a good idea, sooo...

Yeah, something is definitely going on.
Everywhere you look there are news of global protests, people waking up from their zombie sleep, politicians are doing swift measures trying to get their but out of the fire before its too late, satellites are going down, asteroid showers, solar storm is expected that even NASA says could be very dangerous, Elenin, Nibiru, Second Sun, energy clouds, aliens approaching Earth, important people are passing out of the blue, demon attacks and shadows and orbs sightseeing in a rise, people going through weird "feelings", women experiencing different Moon phases...

How is it affecting you personally?

Me, I crave for solitude of home and family, which I luckily have, cant stand crowds, clubs, going out among a bunch of people. My empathic abilities are making me a walking target, and since Im not a Master Yoda, its mostly very hard to keep them all off of me. So I keep off of them. Weird dreams, hard visions even in a wake state are coming to me, not that much, but I simply get it more clear and with more "sensations" than ever before. People that Im connected to on my "special channel" I feel their emotions stronger. Before it was weaker, now its almost like when getting a phone call. Which gives me headaches but luckily water and salt help. Electricity around me is going crazy, my laptop keeps freezing, lights in my house explode, and even the street lamp in front of my house goes off every time I get in and out of my house. My dog.. erm, I dont speak dog lingo, but for some reason she started reacting to my words almost as if she knows exactly what Im talking about. And I can sense her emotions more than before. My intuition, damn, Im so sorry that I lack any ambition. People that I meet, that I know, doesnt matter if I know them for ages or just for a moment, I simply started cutting them of if their energy I dont like. Oh, and appetite, seems I need very little food lately. I crave coffee, tea, and sure i do get hungry, but it is now only a bit and I feel way better when eating little than a lot. Erm, what else?
If I think of anyhting else, Ill add up.

Yes, indeed it was a good idea, and you're welcome.  I was suggesting it for you, so you would have a place to put all of your information you were trying not to post all over Monstrous.  I don't think I'd have enough to put on here to start the topic anyhow!   :-D

I mentioned it before, that there are a couple times a year in my area where the energy goes haywire anyhow, so to try and differentiate between the global strangeness and normal local strangeness is somewhat difficult to do, and it will be for the next couple months.
As for how it's affecting me, well... I'm a preggers lady, with some high risk issues so any "odd" things, could just as easily be due to that rather than anything else going on in the area. However, I'm going to show this to my Students, and see what they have to say about it, get them to type it all up and email me. I'll post their experiences on here, so we know how other people outside of the community are feeling.

Im only posting all over Monstrous, cause people keep posting stuff that could easily be connected to it. At least to me, but Im a tinfoil hatter :D

Oh, students idea is awesome, we are gonna get a better statistics with more people involved ;)

To answer your question....No.

Last week I had to get my hair cut. Didn't need to but the urge was horrible.  It seems I have a lot of "up and downs".
Maybe anxiety is the better word for it. It comes in waves out of nowhere.  It's like an anticipation for something, but what?????

I just sit down and clear my mind of everything and try to relax.

I dunno, I guess if I knew wth we waited for exactly, I wouldnt make this thread. I have my theories and few ideas, but they are sooo wild that Im hardly gonna share. But just a note, to use the one that others said for me: Return of ancient God(dess), with that, return of balance to feminine, instead of this male (its been too long guyz dont ya agree?).

A lil link to explain for me: http://www.halexandria.org/dward383.htm (http://www.halexandria.org/dward383.htm)

I think some of the things going on, not all, but some are because of the time of year. It is a time when the veil between the worlds is at its thinest. Thats not all there is to it, in my own opinion. But I do feal it should be taken into consideration.

Lets face it though, the "veil" now, even at its strongest isnt what it once was. Its much easier now to take a peek at the otherside. For those of us looking for improvement in those areas it is easier still.

Not sure if this means anything on this topic, but I've been having serious deja vu moments. I've never remembered my dreams, but lately, I've been remembering dreams when what happened in them is happening around me, it's nothing major, just my family and me bringing groceries in, but there is usually variations on what we're talking about, but twice, it has mirrored perfectly. Wouldn't post this if it hadn't rattled me so much. Sorry if it doesn't belong. :|

The term sin would be gone, but what people consider sin still goes on in the animal kingdom. Animals kill each other (though not with guns), they have intercourse outside of marriage, they can be greedy, they can be lazy, they can envy, and they can get very angry and take action.

It's a good thought... like weeding out the rose garden?
Remove the Idea of Sin as it is ( thing we do are WRONG!! ) or ... y'know... Remove all Religious belief ( get rid of one, get rid of all )...

What if something like the Rapture actually does exist?

I dont think Sin is apliable for the Animal Kingdom. They didnt invent the word, we did.

I know Nina, that's why I said the term would be gone. But the actions themselves, well, they would still be going on.

Action is considered a sin only if there is someone that would recognize it as such. And for the reason stated below, the Sin would be gone with Humanity ;)

:-P You know my point. People always think the world would be the most peaceful place ever without humanity, but we are a part of nature. Granted, we have overstepped our boundaries and gotten greedy, affecting the world much more than we should be. But to completely wipe out man would have the same end result as the route we are taking, because we are a part of the balance that's supposed to be held.

Sure, I agree with you totally. But for that we would need to change a LOT of laws. Not only those made by governments, but also religious ones.

Oh definitely, but good luck getting that to happen lol. That's why, if nature were to attempt to restore the balance, it wouldn't wipe out all humanity.

I reject the concept that the exctinction of mankind is required to eliminate "sin" - that is a religious point of view. Example: The Bible (Exodus 35:2 "Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day it shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever does work on it shall be put to death") states that anyone who works on the Sabbath is sinning and he should be executed. I didn't feel morally obligated to put a cap in the ass of the lady who sold me my newspaper this morning, however.  The only logical way that "sin" will cease to exist on our planet is when we as a species finally reject all religion and superstition.

Regarding the second point, I realise that it is tongue-in-cheek but it brings to mind something that we humans often fail to recognise: Humanity is the greatest life form on this planet. We can be flawed, but there is almost no flaw that is not also evidenced among the animal kingdom.  People underestimate and undervalue "the capacity of people" - human nature is not purely good and not all people can live up to their human potential without help. "The ultimate goal is human flourishing; making life better for all humans, and as the most conscious species, also promoting concern for the welfare of other sentient beings and the planet as a whole." We are great, humans are great - the changing global consciousness is possibly the spreading awareness of just how great we truly are. Religion and superstition don't make us better humans, less "sinful" humans - they are a yoke around our necks.

Yeah, but I wouldn't want all religion to be gone. People need something to hope for, something to believe in, I just think they need to respect the views of others. That and grow a conscience/listen to it lol.

I think we'd all learn something, then.
Or, something would happen within the Cosmos and we'd implode.

If at the very least we could get people to feel the pain they inflict on others, emotional and physical, then maybe things could get better. But of course then there would be people that would enjoy that kind of thing, so yeah, it would have it's down side.

And don't forget Nina, I'm not a man of any religion.

We break our enemies with fear, and
We've seen how the tears come around
We've built our confidence on wasteland
We've seen how the walls come down

A man dies like a butterfly
Life burns from the touch of the reaper
All things must pass
One love is a crooked lie
The world lies in the hands of evil
We pray it would last

We have no sympathy for the lost souls
we've chosen the path of disgrace
We give this life to our children
and teach them to hate this place

I've posted this elsewhere, but it's worth watching here, now, in this conversation. The comments from the 1.7 million people who've watched it are uplifting, too. I know he quotes the gospel of Luke at one point, but the words he chose have meaning - "heaven" is something that is WITHIN us....

It's a pretty good speech, but tells me nothing that I don't already know. I know we will eventually reach a point of harmony, but I also know that to get to that point we need to teach it to others. I do, I teach my nephews (and maybe one day my children, if by some accident I have them lol) to be better people. The friends around me respect my views as I do theirs, and some that have become our friends have become what I would consider better people. And yeah, a lot of today's technology was made to help people, but it is turned in to something of war and violence.

Anyways, before I go on and on I'll stop.

The way I see it, if one is "bounded" by Religion it stops him from seeing the bigger picture. And sure, it works awesome for most, cause it takes the blame somewhere else, and basically makes you feel really small and not really important. But that level of understanding is too low (medieval?) for this Era. Im still trying pretty hard to get Catholicism out of my system. I dont think I will ever be totally out of it.

Also, a program.

"heaven" is something that is WITHIN us....

My Mother is Christian. In that she believes in Christ, and God, etc etc etc.
But she also believes in the Mother. The Energy, the Spirit the Soul...

Her words have ALWAYS been, "God is Within and Without."
She raised me with the mentality that is in this video.
And I'm raising mine the same way.

It's a pretty good speech, but tells me nothing that I don't already know.

It was never written to be educational, it was written to be inspirational. Humanity doesn't need to be told those things, it doesn't need to tell those things. It needs to be inspired and inspire each other to DO those things. Ghaddafi ruled for 40 years, and for every hour of every day the Libyan people knew he needed to go. They didn't need people to tell them why to rise up, they needed to tell each other that they COULD rise up...

Im still trying pretty hard to get Catholicism out of my system.

I eventually concluded that there was no convincing argument offered by religion to the "problem of evil" or "problem of pain." C.S. Lewis summed up the problem as: "If God were good, He would make His creatures perfectly happy, and if He were almighty He would be able to do what he wished. But the creatures are not happy. Therefore God lacks either goodness, or power, or both." For almost 2000 years theodicy has grappled with the crushing logic that an omnipotent, omniscient being cannot exist at the same time as a world that experiences gratuitous evil, pain and suffering. They can only do this by redefining "goodness" and "happiness," or introducing "freewill" - which is also logically inconsistent with omniscience and omnipotence. Of all the arguments made, the best solution that religion can achieve would be to accept that that "no god, as commonly understood by theists, exists."

As I said, that's the absolute best logical conclusion that they can hope for. But it also means that every concept of their God or gods is wrong, invalidating their belief system.

No, not really. Ever heard of Gnosticism. And no, its not the same as being agnostic, But that is where the word came from.

To keep it short, it states that "God" is only as good as his true nature will allow him to be.

When you say everyones God from every religion, what you actually meen is Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Most other religions dont think their god/gods are perfect. There is often fighting among gods and goddess' from the same religions. Even in one of the "Big 5". Hinduism, have you studied that one yet?

Im just saying  "Every" is a big word, and it almost never depicts things  corectly.

Hinduism, have you studied that one yet?

Enough to know that you're painting that with a broad brush. Hinduism is not a religion by formal definition - it has no unified belief system and is more accurately a "religious tradition" made up of multiple schools of thought and philosophies. What specific school do you mean?

The same applies to gnosticism, in that it is more of a philosophy than a doctrine or creed. If it comes down to the absolute bare bones, there is no evidence of any god in any place. No one can offer evidence of a gnostic God, or a Hindu Ishvara, or Zeus, or Thor. Gnosticism is just another mystery tradition with "secrets", no different to 21st century Freemasonry. While my argument at the outset concerned primarily the Abrahamic religions, your answer is a logical fallacy because it is begging the question: it sets out with the proposition that gods can't be disproven by argument on the unproven assumption that they exist in the first place.

Hinduism IS a religion wheather it fits your definition of a religion or not, so is Gnostisism. Budism on the other hand...well... that ones up for grabs.

I have no desire to debate wheather or not there is a god.
But it is a fact that many gods are worshiped and not all of them fits into this "every"

Title: Re: Its the End of the World as we know it! Do you feel fine?
Post by: Jake on October 24, 2011, 07:40:50 am
Hinduism itself doesn't claim to be a religion. It has nothing to do with "my" definition. And Buddhism (and Jainism) are branching schools of philosophy originating from Hinduism. If Hinduism is strictly a religion, how would you explain that school of Hinduism which follows nir-īśvara-vāda, the doctrine of godlessness? They are still Hindu. Nobody would claim otherwise. But they worship no gods and accept the existence of no gods. Chapter 1 of the 14th century Sarvadarshansamgraha is called simply "Atheism." By calling Hinduism a religious tradition, or a spiritual way of life, I'm not denigrating it, but elevating it. By attempting to pigeon hole it as a religion, you do the opposite to this wonderful and rich philosophy.

That many gods are worshipped is proof of nothing.

I didnt say Hinduism is "strictly" a religion. Are you saying that it "strictly" is not? That it cant be a religion? I thought systems of belief that were based around gods were usually called religions... perhaps Im wrong.

Dosnt really matter, that was just one example of how your "every religion must be wrong because god isnt perfect" thing dosnt work. You want another? There are plenty.

the fact that many gods are worshiped, and that many of them are not depicted as perfect proves exactly what you missed in every post Ive made.

I didnt say Hinduism is "strictly" a religion.

Yes, just here:

Hinduism IS a religion wheather it fits your definition of a religion or not

Let me get this straight.
My original post in reply to someone else was concerning the Abrahamic traditions and those which claim an omniscient and omnipotent god or gods.

That bit was plain by the use of the omiscience and omnipotence to demonstrate the logcal contradiction.

You then came along and attempted to alter the parameters of the original conversation by inserting the supposition that I had said "every religion" as opposed to "every concept [involving an omnipotent and omniscient god or gods]." You then claimed that Hinduism was a religion, and attempted to imply that my reasoning must be false because (you assumed) I knew nothing of Hinduism. You move the goalposts, commit the fallacy of many arguments, and do it all with a sneering air of superiority, disdain and hostility. The fact that you actually turned out to be just making assumptions about Hinduism, for example, seems to have eluded you. As far as I can see, you are just trolling. Not interested in carrying this on thanks, I can go to 4chan if I want to read flame wars.

Looks like I hit a nerve. :-D :-D :-D

Well first, I said Hinduism is a religion, I didnt say strictly, as in thats all it can be. You never answered my question. Are you saying it can NOT be a religion?

And here, several posts later you say, OH I Ment Judeo Christian religions. Why not just say that after my first post on the subject? That would have been the end of it.

What makes you think Im making assumptions? Do you think I asked you those questions about Hinduism in hopes I would learn something? I asked because I wanted to see how far you are willing to go to defend a statement that you know isnt true.

Jake and Ravin, please stay on topic and try to keep the civilized talk. Im sure you can behave more gentlemen like. If you wanna debate religion thats fine by me, but you either start a new thread or continue the debate privately. Also, remove the hostile words from your postings, you know which they are, I really dont feel like quoting all...

I mentioned it somewhere, what I was going to do if there is a Zombie apocalypse...
But I haven't quite decided what I'll do if I know the world is coming to an end, like.. Now.

Probably make a road trip with the family, to a really beautiful location, and camp out.
Maybe we'll survive whatever happens? Maybe won't. At least the last bit we had was awesome.

If it hits during the winter, I know the perfect spot.
EDIT: Removed

... and across the little valley are two spots my friends and I use to take the dirtbikes up to ... ( awesome sledding or snowboarding zone ).
When the grove down below is covered in snow, the little pond gets frozen ( thick enough to ice skate on, too! ) and the little falls freeze, too. It's beautiful there.

Well, that's just it... in order to get to the places I wanna go, you have to go through the woods in the mountains and stuff... Four wheeler and dirtbike trails.
If they won't work, it takes awhile to walk there, but it's definitely possible. I did it all the time when I didn't feel like moving the cars and mowers around to get to my bike.

I have a nice cabin my family used to own in Baudette, MN on the Lake of the Woods, up FAR NORTH on the Canadian Border, that I could escape too. There's no longer a question of property right, take that Well's Fargo *Rips down pink sign*

I thank Goddess that my State has the most paved trails in the Union, I could use those to get through the zombified sections, too bad my State's population is 5.5 million, darn America's high fertility and immigration rate!

It would take forever, but I could walk up there or bike on the aforementioned trails...or if it was winter, get out the cross-country skis, that's my fav. sport anyway! Of course, how do we KNOW there would be EMPs Nina, but the western portion of my State has tons of silos, so maybe I wouldn't even need to worry about getting out at all :?

I'm even more of a peach then you Nina... :-P

What if your car is from the 60s? I own a Ford Mustang from '64? I've heard those are immune to EMPs, as they have minimal electrics, so my car may still work, as long as there's gas, 6 hours and I'm in Baudette...we need the appropriate song to smash zombies with my car too on the way out of Anoka...here we are!

I think they are still started by an electrical spark Arctic, so while it does have fewer electronics, it would also not be immune.

What are you thinking Nina? EMPs caused by man or nature? Assuming you count the sun as part of nature.

Awwww, VM's a buzz kill (I joke)...but I would still have to get out of a city that has 18,000 people in it...I think I could use the Mississippi River, as I live 20 feet from it! Use that guy-I-don't-know's Boat (he lives across the River from my apt. building) or something and go south, then back track on those trails I mentioned...very zombie movie like, huh?  :-P

I think me being a buzz kill is better than what could have happened had you not know lol. My plans, well, set up shop in a store with a good amount of food (like H-E-B, think big ass grocery store) and eventually set up shop in a gun place. Try to make it easier to get safely from one to the other, and start killing as many as I can. Not because I enjoy violence (because I don't) but because there really is nothing else we can do other than try and kill them all off before there's none of us left.

Same basis lol. Supplies, weapons, and fight to survive. The only difference might be where we set up camp. I mean, it's already been established that we would let people in to our 'safe haven', but obviously we'd check them for whatever signs would show them to be 'bad'. Don't want people to forget that we're supposed to look out for each other.

One thing you have to remember whatever the cause of the end of civilization as we know it-you need to have some kind of weapon and be good with it or be with a group that does because otherwise there will be looters and people trying to steal your last bottle of water

Np Vicious and T, I had to pull it back to the track ;) We all tend to get imaginative with these sorts of things. ;)

April, yeah, that will be the only way to live if we wanna survive. Even if there wont be looters and such, it is easier for a bigger group to take care of the rest if they are properly organized.

definately -the History Channel aired a documentary called "After Armageddon" that depicted people living through a pandemic and how things went back to the way they were in the 1800's more or less-farming communities-in that situation somebody who knew how to grow food would be needed-that's a skill everyone should try to learn

I think the only problem is agreeing on a leader. I know some will say that there is no need for a leader, but there is. It's much more necessary than some give it credit for.

particularly in that situation because it really would take everyone working together to produce enough food for everyone-this mind you is only if whatever situation ended civilization didnt destroy the environment too-people would have to work together to keep out other survivors because their communities couldnt support them

yes we would have to -it would be much harder though if the situation were say a nuclear holocaust or comet strike or supervolcanic eruption -in any scenario though people will look for a leader, someone to tell them what to do

One person to over see individual responsibilities?
Or individual persons to oversee individual responsibiltiies? Like a Committee?

That part of the problem that comes up when deciding on a leader. Should there be one or many? Who can be trusted to not be bribed? Who can be trusted to not give in to threats? Who wants what's best for the group and who is out only for themselves?

Maybe we would revert to ancient "The strongest is the leader" and end up in battles... We'd form an animalistic tribe, like a pack after that.

I think that some sort of committee would be better. I dont really believe that one man could decide WHAT to do in every aspect of "tribe" needs. One for food-farming, one for animals, one for healing needs, and one for defense. I dont see the need for more. Ive seen communities do pretty well like this.

April, I saw that too! It was a really good representation of what would happen to! But I thought at the end what if it wasn't a pandemic, what if it was a comet impact or nuclear holocaust....

A lot of communities outside the Metro area are farming communities in my State, so they would revert to 1800s and become self-sufficent city-states probably...

Nina and I wouldn't have a hard time...I'm a natural hunter (archery or firearms) and I have a sixth sense for defense and danger, and am good at Navigation by the Stars and know Wiccan herbal healing..I ain't half bad at keeping or starting fire either or fashioning weapons (bows and arrows)...I could be a great diplomat and am very persuasive too, so I'd probably lead whatever community I came into after a short time, I'm forced into the leadership role so often anyway, not a stretch to imagine that!

Actually, I'd have a better life than I do right now! I'm more suited to the Post-Apocalyptic or Prehistoric Life than to my current life...

I'd probably be either the hunting (animals) or defense guy on that Commitee Nina...

I can see communities left to their own devices having five main fourms of "government"...

- Animalistic Tribe = Anarchy/Tribal
- Self-proclaimed Monarchy = Monarchy
- Theocratic-based = Theocracy
- Commitee-based = Democractic
- Commune-based = Socialist/Communist

Don't think the last one won't happen, even in America! Currently "Blue States" like mine have a fair amount of Socialists in them...it could easily happen in a few communities....

Is being put in a leadership role or assuming one on your own power because of your skill set and leadership skills animalistic or tribal? That happens to me even in our current world!

If so, I guess things come full circle, here's to being a Viking Warlord like my ancestors *toasts* :-P

Funny, because I can hold my own physically, but it's mind games that are my strong suit. Seen it time and time again, the person that has mastered games of the mind can overthrow the leadership of the physically stronger one.

Arctic, no matter the disaster, we would find a way to survive the initial threat and those that follow. We were born to adapt.

Like I said, animal love me. And hunting them, well, it is an easy thing to do. Easier than some will make it seem at least. Especially since I've found it extremely easy to lay 'traps' of sorts for the animals. I don't think we would need to make new weapons, considering that a knife can last you a long time if you know how to maintain it. But if it comes down to it, I can fashion weapons made for hunting or weapons made for 'self preservation'. By that of course I mean fighting off other people, and whatever the disaster itself creates. Also have learned quite a bit in carpentry and such.

I wouldn't want to be a leader (lot of pressure and responsibility) but would be if it came down to it. People tell me I'm a natural leader, but I just don't see it.

Lets us see... Train crash, F-2 Tornado, F-4 Tornado, Massive Ice Storm in '05, '07 2-week Power Outage...never a dull moment around here, and I always have all the s*it to deal with too!

But my part of the US seems to have more disasters than a lot of other parts of the US...aka Tornado Alley!

And don't even get me STARTED on family matters

I should have said 'I haven't been in charge during any disasters', because I've been in quite a few. But when it comes to being in charge, well, no one is in charge with my family. We know how to take care of ourselves and each other, and are stubborn enough not to take orders from others. There are only 3 things I say I inherited from my dad; his hair, his stubbornness, and his anger. I've only tamed one of those so far, and it's the anger.

People seem to always FORCE me into that role though! The Power Outage, everyone seemed to need help at the same time, and wanted to use MY generator to charge something rather...I let them, but I said to myself "God, this is 2-weeks, what if the power were out for a year or two O_O"

And my strength was needed to get people out partially-destroyed houses and stores and help at the damaged school after the Tornadoes. Oh, and tornadoes not striking the same place twice is a myth, they have torn up 7th Avenue in my town twice now and I live on Main, just off of 7th...My town is cursed, were the Tornado Capital of MN, I swear!

I inherited my Dad's Leadership, His Hunting/Warrior Instinct, His addictive tendancies and my Viking-like looks, but I got my Tallness (she herself is 6'2" and I'm 6'11"), Artistic side, Voice, Way-of-thinking, stubbornness and spiritualism from my Mom...I'm a stubborn Viking b*stard and I like it that way!

Sounds like a good reason to move lol.

I'd say the hunter/warrior is in all of us, just another one of those things that have been dulled by their own hand. Same with instincts, we all have them, but again most people's instincts are dulled.

Artistic side, lol, no one passed that on to me. It's always been a part of me, what with my imagination (that has a mind of it's own it seems lol), but no one in my family can create anything that isn't for work. Still, my parents were good and fed my imagination/creativity as much as they could, and my sisters have done the same for their children (all but one I mean).

And that's why my state sucks I guess...tornadoes! Talk of Hell from Heaven! But I'm moving to Puerto Rico in a year, so its all good...

Hunter/Warrior dulled? I've never dulled it in the least and would shudder at the very thought! I personally just freaking LOVE to hunt period, but with bows and arrows or a crossbow, it's more elegant and more of a challenge...but can use spears and shotguns/rifles/hunting pistols too...that's part of my Were, my wolf is a serious hunter...I have the tracking, trapping and camouflage instincts too...Sorry, I ramble a bit when I talk of hunting

Read the Art and Wolf thread, to know how obsessed I am with art...my families weird, my brother Pat is an extreme nerd and goes to magnet school, but I am a dramatic artist and went to arts school, little bit of everything!

I'm not saying yours are dulled, I'm saying everyone has the hunter/warrior inside them, but it isn't as prominent (is that even the right word?) because they have dulled it. Like a blade that isn't maintained.

Hunting with a bow is cool, not my kind of thing though. Although I do enjoy archery. Again, not something I learned, just picked up a bow and had fun with it. Like I said, I'm a traps man myself. Though nothing I learned, just things I come up with myself. Pretty much a knife is all I want, but a rifle I do practice with (not on animals, other things) because it is a skill that is good to have.

Lol Art School isn't for me, but still cool you went. I've read the thread so I know what you're talking about, I was just talking about my own background.

Modify Don't get me wrong here, I'm sure I'm no where near as good with a bow as you are. I reread it and felt I undermined your skills a bit, so thought I'd clear it up. Everyone has a field they are more proficient at, and mine in this case would be mind games. And yes, I do count traps as mind games.

I didn't think you were undermining me at all! And I really am probably not as good with traps as you are, I'm more for the "active" approach to hunting, more fun that way!

Oh, I know, I was just proving how prominent mine are...Mine are like a Surgeons scalpel, if I use your analogy!

I don't deny myself the inner wolf in any way...hunting is a part of that for me...

I prefer it with a bow or spear...it's more "primal and instinctual" that way, which I prefer even more (aka Inner Wolf). I'm not half bad with knives, I can throw them so they can hit the same target and knock the previous knife off the target...I do that when bored sometimes for fun...I can throw Axes too, but I'm not as good at that as knives...

Oh, and the warrior half...I'm not a martial artist, but I'm really good at hand-to-hand combat, I'm good with firearms, knives, Know stealth, tracking and camouflage. I'm fiercely loyal and will defend those I love at any cost...I

*HOWLS at top of lungs, growls, snarls* - Okay, now inner wolf wants to kick some @$$!

I know that feeling lol, maybe there's an inner wolf next to my inner child  . I know the thrill of not setting traps, rather hunting the prey down yourself. But the thrill you get there, I get with coming up with the trap and creating it, then again when it works lol.

Completely with you on that, use to sneak around a lot as a kid. Not in some perverted way, before anyone's minds jump there, rather for fun. And while yours are a surgeon scalpel, mine would be the same sharpness, but in a retractable blade sort of way. You seem more open with your skills, but I prefer to keep things hidden until they're necessary. Don't get me wrong, I don't let them dull, I simply keep them sharp in private. And when my anger takes over, man, that can be trouble. I'm one of those people that, when angry, pretty much internally blacks out and instinct takes complete control. Hence why I've had to tame it.

*Growls...still wants to kick some @$$...wants to kill-bite something, Feels like blood is on fire*

But I haven't really tamed this part of myself yet very well...

I let my skills be known so people don't Eff with me, my pack or my family! I've almost killed a few people in blind rages with my bare hands, and while I'm not proud of that...I still wear that as part of the "bloodlust" card I have...

The hunting and lust instincts are the hardest for me to control as a Were...

I think I would be a rather good person for anyone to have on there side in a Post-Apocalyptic situations, as mind games are one of my specialties...I'm VERY persuasive...Charm, Bribery, Coercion, Diplomacy etc. could all be weapons I may use, if it keeps our...would tribe be the right word?...safe!

There is a very strong possibility of that VM! You could be a Therian! I have both an inner child (age 14 abouts) and an inner wolf...

You cant always beat them with your fists; you have to be able to beat them with your mind. Not that it isnt important to physically be able to handle yourself and weapons in a survival situation. Survival is about 90% mental-and you truly dont know how you'll respond until you're actually in a disaster situation-some people will emerge as leaders and others will fall apart-there was a 20/20 about that-why some people can handle themselves and some cant

But I can still be very persuasive and very good mentally...I'm both street smart and book smart. I know how to communicate REALLY well and have COMMON SENSE (which a lot seem to lack nowadays)! I can be very good diplomatically, I'm a good problem solver and conflict resolver, and I have that natural leadership I talked about, people seem to WANT me to lead! I know when to be ruthless and when to be compassionate...and when diplomacy just won't work and the fists or swords or w/e is gonna have to come out :-P

I wouldn't lose my head...what I said about being more suited to either prehistoric or post-apocalyptic times still stands...I'd probably live a happier life that way then I do right now!

Aww, thanks April, that's so nice :-D

I am forced into the leadership role a lot, I just project that natural aura...

The earlier posts were kind of the inner wolf's hunting/killing instincts taking over...I still was throwing knifes at my target hung on my wall for fun 20 minutes ago, though :-P I kind of have a thing for knifes...

What's so funny to me (I mean REALLY Funny) - when this happens, it will be a "history repeats itself" thing...I'm descended from Vikings and Huns, funny how things come full circle after a 1,000 years!  *Throws another knife*

*GROWLS and Snarls - Inner wolf want to hunt/kill really bad right now!*

So I'm guessing throwing a few knifes isn't enough to calm the inner wolf, huh?

Nope! Setting me after a few deer with a crossbow or shot gun Up-North might be more like it!...I'm having serious trouble with the inner wolf in lots of regards today!

It's not to calm the inner wolf really, its something I'm kind of doing mindlessly, as I browse the net, I do that a lot actually...

And a few knives! There are 25 in this pack of knifes right now, they are actually knifes designed for throwing...I kind of have a thing for knives...and most weapons :-P
