So, in the final hours of the morning before I wrenched myself from bed, I had a very peculiar dream. In it, I was laying on my stomach as I actually was, when I felt a weight on my back. Large enough to cover my entire back, and.... roaring? It wasn't quite a roar, more a constant deep vibration sound, if I could describe it. When I reached to feel it, it was like a semi-intangible liquid blob (I say liquid, but it didn't leave behind any moisture when I would remove my hand from it)
it began to bite my one hand with a solid mouth it had formed, and I pulled away, and it begin to attack me more furiously. I grabbed it's... tendrils that it had formed as arms and began to tie them together, when it formed another and bit the back of my head.
Passing the two tendrils into my right hand, I reached behind me and grabbed this third, and began to clump it into mass I was intent on tying.
As soon as I began to tie, the "head" tendril became another normal tendril, minus the solid head mass. Said head mass re-formed behind my head again and took another swipe, so I flipped myself over onto my back to try and crush it with my weight.
Given that it's body was this semi-intangible aforementioned liquid blob, that didn't really accomplish much, and the back of my head was really starting to hurt (first time I've ever felt pain in a dream) so I woke myself up.
Now, almost an hour since waking up, I can still sort of feel it on the back of my head. You know how when you get kicked or punched or whatever, after the pain fades you can still sort of feel an "after-pressure" of the force applied? It's like that, and it's weirding me out.

Hm... reminds me of creatures in the Mountains of madness.... I dont know why.... but that aint helping, right?
