I've suspected for a long time that I'm therian, though I don't know what because I've never showed any signs of what I could be and I've never transformed... Until now. I haven't fully transformed, but my body is changing.
Firstly, let me explain something that's happened to me... I can see spirits and demons, I've always been able to, it runs in my family. I had a run in with a demon about 3 and a half weeks ago and it didn't go over well. Normally I can ward things like that off easily, but I had a hard time with it and I even sustained an injury on my right arm from it.
A full moon hasn't passed since it happened... And there's supposed to be one tomorrow night... And I'm changing... Just over the course of the night I've grown... My face has lengthened, as have my fingers, arms, back, neck, feet, and toes. My shoulders are broader and my limbs are thinner looking and more muscular.
I'm really confused and scared, I don't know what to do. I'm afraid that something is going to happen tomorrow, afraid that I'm going to hurt someone I love or hurt innocent humans in my area. Does anyone know of anything that would halt a transformation?

On christmas? You sure picked a right fine time to morph.
and why is any of that a bad thing? ( aside from a big angry mob forming).
Upon the suspension of any disbelief i may have, i belive that your encounter with the demon may have had some lasting effects, on you........ sorta like your body is adapting to compensate. Trying to combat the demon's "venom" if you will.

I can't honestly say I'm the one who picked the day, Raz. And I'm worried that I'll hurt one of my family members more than anything...

You said something about your dad maybe being therian.
ask him about controling your self,your......urges.............. just dont mention anything bout the therian thing if you know he's gonna be a preacher.
and don't worry i have not heard of such.... dramatic P-shifts anyway. if anything, its just the full moon makeing you more active.
Of course i could be wrong.

I'd lean more towards a mundane cause. In my case, when I hit puberty, my body seemed to explode in size, practically overnight. Muscles got bigger, shoulders broadened, I got taller, head bigger, etc. It all happened with such speed that even my parents were in disbelief, especially since they were buying adult size clothing for a twelve year old, and still having a hard time finding clothing big enough. I'm twenty-eight now, and still growing, though it's slowed down a bit since then. I imagine I may top out somewhere over 6' 6" before I retire, as I've put on 3 inches in height in just six years.
The funny thing is, it only slowed down when I got out of jobs that required a lot of intense physical labor.
Remember folks, everyone is different. Medical science does NOT know everything, and neither does Psychiatry. While being injured by this demon may have triggered things, and may in fact be the cause, without knowledge and proof, guessing at these things will do more harm than good.
Kit, I would suggest a blood work-up. It may be that you have some kind of hormonal imbalance and it can be corrected. A prolonged surge of adrenaline can produce strong urges for violence, as well as stimulate other things physically. Always remember people; "Eliminate the mundane before you consider the extraordinary."

wel, first you've got to control it....remember, mind over matter...and to the demon thing, well, always carry a crucifix and a bottle of holy water.....

Well, the full moon came and went... I now hardly fit in any of my clothing, my pants fall off of my hips, my shirts barely cover my torso, my shoes are too tight, etc... I'm not as concerned as I was before, just incredibly confused.

you got bigger....... that fast? wouldn't that put your body under incredible strain? are you tired?

A massive growth spurt would be my guess. I'd also be willing to bet that for those of us who are cold-adapted, meaning we either are or have ancestry from those who are adapted to extreme cold, have bigger spurts than folks from farther south. I for one carry Norse blood in my veins, and took a lot of my genetic makeup from that part of the family, which, when you look at me, is more than apparent - especially when you see me with the rest of my family.

Well, I was in incredible pain throughout it... It made me very moody. And I'm of asian descent, so no massive growth spurts in my family. All of the changes that I'd gone through have gone away, though... Over the course of a day or more. Now I'm left questioning if this is going to happen again... And if it does, will I change more than the last time?

lol it sounds like a major growth spurt, just relax and see what happens. the mood thing is apart of that to.

Maybe you should just do a cleansing/banishing ritual or something to like clear your aura. :-P
otherwise youd have to go through another one.....maybe.
I'd go for the second option..... but thats just me and my curiosity :-D

Lol, Raz... You're not helping at all, but at least you're making me laugh. And Vince, I'm half mongolian. My mother is only 4' 9"... I'm already taller than her, but I don't expect I'll get much taller... Hence why I don't think my getting to 5' 5" over the course of two nights was a 'growth spurt'... Especially not after I've reverted back to my original height of 4' 11".

mongolia...well, that's cool....me and raz are filipino...and the philippines is in southeast asia...so yeah....well, with what's happening with your body and all, expect that you'll get much bigger...and it's just natural that some kids today are bigger than their parents....i mean, look at me...i used to be the smallest kid in my family but look at me now....i'm now 5'7" in height and i'm way bigger than my dad now....
what i don't believe, though, is what you've said about growing pains...i mean, there are no medical research and facts about people getting physical pains while they're growing up...so yah, that's my side..... :-D
and just for the record, i get all aggressive when the moon is full..... :banplea:

Well, KitsuneFae, let me tell you something that may relieve you. You have nothing to fear from the full moon, because "real" werewolves, that is, werewolves from traditional folklore, aren't triggered by the moon. The moon is a modern invention, spread by hollywood. As long as you haven't made a pact with the equally mythical Satan, or walk around wearing the fat of a dead cat and a wolk-skin belt/jacket, you'll be fine.
As for the seeing demons and spirits and the transformation, you don't have anything to worry about either. You're just schizophrenic. As for seeing demons running in the family, schizophrenia can be hereditary. My advice is call up a mental health professional, preferably either a psychologist or a psychiatrist, and get yourself some therapy and medication. It's a hard thing to work through, but I have faith that you're strong enough to do it.

Nice of you to suggest that, kroll. But I've already been through the mental health system. All I have is bipolar, and that's under control.
And Vince, when I was growing up I always had growing pains during growth spurts.

Yes Raz, I shrunk. I'm back to normal... And I'm not sure if it'll happen again, my guess is that it will.

uhhhhh....i hate to break it to you but that's only a scientific myth....there's no scientific research that someone gets growing pains during growth spurts....i mean, i went through many rapid growth spurts and i didn't feel any pain....

Reality is subjective, not objective, Vince. I myself have experienced pain during growth spurts. One or two time it was so bad I thought I might not be able to walk. Please, keep in mind that science doesn't know everything, and many things that were believed before have now been proven false. Just think, if Copernicus had accepted the prevailing mindset of his time, someone else would have been credited for having discovered that the Earth was round.
