I went to Colby Sawyer College. Some of you may have heard of this school, it's one of the most haunted in the country partly bcause there is a vortex on property. One of the spirits is that of a little girl who is known to attach herself to certain students. I became quite accustomed to her. Suddenly one day her appearance changed. Her skin became like peeling bark & her eyes were blood, not bloody, actual liquid blood. At this time I was lving in the oldest building on campus & discovered that two students had messed with magicks they shouldn't have. I've been around when doors are opened & not closed but I had never seen a resident spirit be affected so drastically. I am no longer at the school but this has always bothered me. Any ideas?

As for your question; I am no ghostbuster or anything but will give it a shot.
It seems that your story could have the answer hidden inside it, as I guess could often be the case.
Starting with her skin, that became like peeling bark, if you look at the symbolism, bark will peel off trees if the environment is toxic. With her blood eyes, "seeing red" indicates that she could be pretty pissed off. The fact that her eyes were blood, could again symbolically represent a toxin like an acid or gas that causes your eyes to bleed, again symbolic of a toxic environment. When you combine the fact that some students had been delving into some dark magic that they could not control with the fact that there is a major energy vortex in the area, you start to get the story.
The studendts uncontrolled use of some dark magic released a heap of negative energy out of the vortex into the environment, this made it unhealthy for the resident ghosts which were angry and suffering from all the negative energy polluting their environment. Whatever the case it sounds good that you are not at the school anymore.

It could always be a demon showing its true colors. I don't deal with ghosts, so I can't be sure. I do know demons can hide behind kind faces. Just my thoughts.

I kinda agree with Blackhearted, the baddies always look nice in the beginning. But that opens up the question as to why it would be showing its true colors now..
But, I have no experienxe with this kinda thing, so feel free to not take me seriously ^_^

I can see the reasoning but I am sure she wasn't a demon. I considered that very possibility when it first occurred but I have experience with both & I know I would have known if she were. In addition we had a professor who is a "ghost hunter" for lack of a better term & she would have warned me. Thank you for the suggestions.
