On Sci Fi, I've only seen about two episodes of Sanctuary, but love it already. Darn shame it normally comes on so late that I can't watch it. :cry:

It seems ok so far
The pilot episode seemed kinda slow, but it has gotten better
They are relying on the star power of Amanda Tapping though since she is the only big name IMO

I think she is doing an awesome job, & for me she's not the sole center of attention. It's the guy with the glasses.

Amanda Tapping is the only star in the show, everyone is is a nobody (as far as star power or on name)
Plus she still looks Hot!!! and the one that plays her daughter

I think she does a great job, I have this problem where if an actor does a great job on one show as a character, then if he does any other shows, I automatically think of them a the character from before. Stargate SG1 ruined it by bringing Jack from Farscape in, classic example. :x
But she does such a great job in Sanctuary, I simply don't have that problem. & it's not the hair dye either. :-D

Sanctuary is so far turning out to be a good show. I worry about it being on SciFi, howver. They have a habit of cancelling shows quickly, just about after one season.

True quest, the scifi channel does have a bad habit of doing that, to the point were it is annoying

I have my dvr set to record it every week in case I am too caught up
and loose track of time.

any word why they canceled the show ....about the wizard?
I liked it as well, but now it has been too long to even remember the name.

Season 1 of Sanctuary just ended Friday, but they might have reruns
Got this info (in quote) from the scifi wire.....they renewed it for another season

Sanctuary Season Two OK'd
SCI FI Channel has ordered a second season of Sanctuary, its hit new show starring Amanda Tapping.
The channel gave a green light to 13 new hours. Sanctuary is slated to resume production in Vancouver, Canada, early next year for a 2009 premiere.
More than 3 million viewers tuned in to the premiere of Sanctuary on Oct. 3, making it the highest-rated original series premiere since Eureka debuted in July 2006.
Sanctuary stars Tapping as Dr. Helen Magnus, a brilliant scientist who holds the secrets of a clandestine population: a group of strange and sometimes terrifying beings that hide among humans.
The show also stars Robin Dunne, Ryan Robbins, Emilie Ullerup and Christopher Heyerdahl. Created by Damian Kindler (Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis), Sanctuary's season two will be executive-produced by Kindler, Tapping, Martin Wood, Keith Beedie and N. John Smith.
The show about the wizard you forgot :wink: was "The Dresden Files" which I liked, and I picked up the 1st and only season on DVD

I found the books the show the Dresden Files
are based on at Barnes and Noble,
so even though the show is not on any longer
I can still enjoy.....Dresden.
