The Mighty Boosh. Your views on this show.
-
Never heard of it
Thought most of my TV watching is scifi and horror
-
It came on Adult swim one night. I think it's a UK show.
-
Is it animated?
-
No, live action. Some UK singer is in it.
-
It's absolutely atrocious.
I love British comedy, and I love surreal, absurd comedy, but the Mighty Boosh is absolute arse. No laugh-worthy jokes or situations, just misguided attempts to be all zany and unpredictable, and a great big box of pretentiousness.
Black Books, Coupling, Is It Bill Bailey, 15 Storeys High, QI, Mock The Week, Father Ted, Garth Merenghi's Darkplace, Peep Show and the IT Crowd > all as far as UK comedy IMO.
EDIT: And as far as craziness and surrealness in comedy, I'd suggest Vic and Bob/Reeves and Mortimer's various shows, Paul Merton: The Series or Spaced..

Actually I find it has it's moments. It is dry in spots, but that is British comedy, and it is almost as good as Benny Hill, Monty Python, and all the rest.
