  Yes Ryobi does know quite a bit, she has however taken a break from monstrous for personal reasons and is yet undecided as to whether or not she will return.  As for the truth of anything, well, you have to decide that for yourself, no one else can tell you what is true or what is a lie.

I cannot believe the hype about the world ending in 2012. Yes I know the correlations and the things that match up but they are coincidence in my opinion. The world is not supposed to end in 2010 it is supposed to end in a few billion years (a little sooner then the sun I think... not sure). The only reason that the world MIGHT end in 2012 is this:

People think that everyone else thinks it is going to end in 2012. So if they think and see everyone else preparing they might as well too. Because there are going to be the handful of idiots that will actually be ending it. (You know crash a plane, rape someone, jump off a cliff, kill someone, etc.) I think it the actions with the thought "Well the world is going to end anyway I might as well..." The people doing stupid crap like this because they think the world is ending will actually be the ones ending it.

Now if the earth implodes or there is a giant meteor or something then that quite frankly... sucks...

That is my view on it.

if the world does end in 2012 ill have spent my entire life in school. yay.....

 Hmm I remember when i was 13 or 14 and i didnt have this much desperation to get on a public place to chat with girls i never seen before in my life....And i had ALOT of gf's when i was those 2 ages also. lol just saying right here and now....Its a bad idea to do something like that MM.

Yes i am going to have to agree here and I notice when your working and stuff you only use the basics in math or reading exc in real life situations i find everything pasted advanced and basics pretty useless.

and as for 2012 the world shouldnt end did it ever say anywhere that 2012 marks the end of the world? anywhere at all? Seriously for me its just another time frame kinda like 1800-1900-2000. See my reasoning thats why im not really worrieing about it. Lets say it was the end tho there wouldnt be alot any of us could do about it at all.

the AS part of history is so dull. 18th century british politics....all i know is that I have a special circle reserved for it in my own hell... (metaphorically speaking of course) , and the other part is about Mussolini - essentailly how to become a dictator. But yeh , none of what you learn is really used. Except for science subjects  , definatly physics and chemistry. Anyway , im curious , what do you guys do in school over in America?

Recently i joined a group on facebook called : I survived Y2K, Bird Flu, Mad Cow, and Swine Flu. 2012, Here I Come!
i think the mayans who calculated just got completely stoned out of their minds after doing so many calculations...(probably felt worse than me after triple maths on a friday afternoon , when each lesson is 1 hour long!) , and there probably went and quite rightly drank their sorrows away.

  Stoned they may have been, but all it really is is an end to their calendar cycle.  Hell, the Chinese calendar resets every 60 years and you don't see people freaking out about it. (Thank whatever higher power there may be)

  As for History, you can learn all that is needed in a few hours of study.  No need for long dry lectures about people you are never going to need to reference for the rest of your life.

  No I do no think the world will end in 2012. First off if you remember ever one thought their be cause for y2k. But that was majorly over played. I Think the most that will happen is people will realize how stupid they act sometimes. However I still always like to prepare for the worst just in case. what can i say I am a survivor not a quitter.....

  The only thing I am worried about come Dec 2012 is the Mass hysteria up until and during.  If anything causes the world to spiral into chaos it will be the irrationality of the human mind en-mass.

And, sure - history is boring. But it has it's virtues, you just have to see it in another light. It's a great way of learning what misstakes NOT to make! History is full of stupid mistakes from prominent people lacking common sense. You don't have to remember "who" and "when" - just make sure you remember "what".

  True, I would however like to point out that those of us who possess common sense have no real need to educate ourselves on what not to do, as it stares us in the face plain as day.  As for those who do not possess common sense, well they can study until Dec 2012 and would still make the same mistakes regardless.  As the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
