Title: Check please...
Post by: darkerose999 on May 15, 2011, 11:51:43 AM
I don't know if you would classify this as a question or a poll, so here goes...

When you cast a spell, perform a ritual, or even simply making a wish; most have a line they don't cross as far as harming another.
Whatever you call it; be it the rule of three, karma, or just your personal set of checks and balances; everyone has their own personal set of rules (so to speak) they use as a guide.

Now, things happen.  People get angry.  Weather or not a harsh response is justified, what do you do to keep yourself in check, to keep yourself from crossing that line?

Any thoughts?

I always take a stepback, look at the situation in its entirety, and (imagining it is someone else in my place) decide ifI think that person would be justified to cause harm. That or consider the fact that there are others out there with worse lives, in worse situations, and they don't go around getting revenge. So what gives me the right to.

VM is right. I never do any kind of magical work while I am upset or angry. I take time planning each ritual instead of doing it right at the moment. The temptation will arise but the best way to prevent mishaps is to step back & keep your own line in mind.

love magic simply because i beleive their is no such thing, most love spells only manipulate and dominate someone emotionally and spiritually which is way mroe perverse to me than just outright using magic to control osmeone without the need to go about it in such a intimate and roundabout way.
