If you know what you're doing as far as rituals and spells, potions are nigh worthless. They're generally only used to strengthen a spell, or as a different way of utilizing a spell.
If you get really experienced with ritual magic then you'll find you don't need potions to achieve the results you want.

well the parental units really arent paranormal friendly whiich is why i was looking at brewing potions asw a way to do magik while not raising eyebrows

Well, it's like making tea, but potions aren't meant to drink.

Boil the water, stick the herbs in, let it steep, drain the herbs, instant potion.  Empower as desired.

Disclaimer here, if you drink it and get sick, don't blame me.  Especially if you use TOXIC herbs.

How you use it then?  I don't know. I prefer to do things differently.

Have you tried googling it? The internet has a bazillion ways to help, & you can just come back & ask us if the info you got is accurate.

You should be more specific in describing how would you like the potion to work? Is it for a disease or what else?

Yeah, what little I do know tells me that will power plays a big role in any thing like this.

well ok for instsance once i tried to make a potion well more like a tea that was charmed to use on  my parents to make them more cooperative so i could tell them im a witch and everyone got migraines

 


Sorry for me laughing, but this is sooo funny. Maybe you should find some other way, first? Magik is not the only answer for problems, it should be your last resort, not the first one.

No wonder they got migraine, herbs are not for fun, you should know better than that. People who use herbs for something, medicine or poison, first teach all they can about them....  all herbs can be equally good as medicine or poison, you should watch carefully on the amount you mix....

ceasethe laughing nothing poisonous just oarnge zest lavendar honey mint cinnamon nutmeg ad a quartz crystal but i took it out before i served it to them as "tea"

Ok, ok, I wont laugh any more, but at the first time I read it it WAS hilarious. Maybe you simply had a wrong recipe?
