Title: Twilight-the movie Nov.21st!!!!
Post by: sexywolfgirl on November 07, 2008, 11:13:23 AM
<^> <^> <^> <^> <^>the popular series Twilight, is soon coming out to theatres! It looks like it will be a great movie, but usually the book is more detailed and a little more interesting. For anyone who hasn't read any of the series, Twilight is about a girl named Bella, who falls in love with a vampire named Edward while visiting her dad. She meets his family and winds up getting into trouble. That's what i've read so far. I'm still in book 1. Twilight is written by Stephanie Meyer. check em out!  <^> <^> <^> <^> <^> <^> <^> <^>

Doesn't sound too interesting. Vampires have become too....weak in fiction these days. I mean love, are you kidding me, this has got cash cow written all over it. This sounds almost as bad as Underworld did....Vampires with machine guns. Yeah, real entertainment there too.

I have to disagree. i loved how romantic the series is. I have only read the 1st book, but I will read the rest because of how good it is getting.

Fictional romantic vampires...is there seriously any other kind of vampire out there? I mean seriously, since hollywood has gotten their claws in the vampire they turned it into a wuss! A shell of the horror beast it was meant to be, to make people afraid of the night. This, and every story like this was made for money and humanizing the vampire.

And the novels have only followed suit. Nobody likes the blood thirsty monster anymore, nobody wants to be afraid of the monster, they want to become one. Is humanity so desperate to be something else. The point of this, and every other darkness creature has been lost to the aspect of redemption and emotional correctness. If something used to be human, and it changes into a vampire. That humanity should have changed with it, it was never meant to be a blessing but a curse of eternal hunger, madness, and isolation.

If Hollywood will make a movie of this, I should give it a shot to make millions too!, We all should.

That all depends on what the book is about. If it's entire goal is a romance novel, then it's a success. If it was meant to be a horror book, then it failed miserably.

From what I was told it is more romance than horror

But if you look at the Dracula movies of old, they always had Drac falling for Lucy, but they were always well done

<^> <^> <^>well, even though they tend to use vampires for romance these days, the stories are still good, even though not all vamps are like edward cullen( the vamp in twilight) There are some vamps in that book that are evil though. <^> <^> <^>

The movie was incredibly disappointing. I've read all of the Twilight Saga books-they were all right. Sorry, nobody is going to take me away from the love of Bill Compton or Eric Northman. I think if you haven't.. check out the Sookie Stackhouse novels (True Blood is based on this series-well, the first book so far).. much, much better....or the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series.. :)

No offence, but Twilight should NOT be posted anywhere in a horror movie forum.
I miss the real vampires... you know, the old stuff from folklore. :/
