Title: Spirit Board
Post by: MagnusCrane on February 21, 2010, 12:01:40 PM
Its been also called Ouija Board and some cultures called it Spirit Board. What I find funny and yet believe it to be of no coincidence is that in every department store and Toy Store you find one of these things there. Has anyone here ever used one? If so, then what was the results? Can you hone in on a specific spirit and if you do, should you know how to get rid of that spirit once after you've summoned it? What can you tell me about the "Spirit Board?"

I've used one & know a number of people who have as well. The specific problem with them is that you can not hone in on a particular spirit. It is an open doorway & very few people have good experiences. I have no doubt that you have at least heard of the movie "The Exorcist" & that you most likely know it is based on a true story. The center of that story is one such board. Long story short, they are a terrible idea even in the most experienced hands & really shouldn't be used or sold to just anyone. There are much safer more direct means of spirit communication if you have a need to do so. Before you start communicating though know every aspect of the method you are using including protection & closing.

i myself have 2 of them one has Baphomet siting between two obelisks and the other has the tree of life in the center. as countess said they can be used to talk to spirits they can also be used to talk to demons.

i'm kind of a daredevil when it comes to the spirit world, but even i wouldn't mess with it.
sure, you can talk to ghosts, but you can also get a hold of a demon. and since you invited it, it gets to have a lot of power over you and will use this power to mess. you. up.
not worth the risk, i say. there are many other, safer ways to talk to ghosts.

the only power they have is what you believe they have...where the gateway factor comes into play is that any avenue our minds use are easily accessible, and something that encourages spirit play calls out to them, sort of like a spiritual beacon saying "i'm here, i'm here."

the problem is unlike a cell phone, you don't know who'll answer the number you dialed.

the problem there is that they can convince you of quite a bit.

I suppose one of the majot problem about the ability to summon a spirit, demon, or entity, is once you summon it, you need to know how to send it back once you are done with it.

i think an equally important thing is containment. you can't send it back if it's run off.

Correct, but if its only bounded to a place, house, or someone, then it should be quite easy to contain the entity and send it off its way. back to where it originally came from.

What if you summoned some kind of entity that didn't move on, and actually resided in your own home? How exactly do you get rid of that?

I've used a ouija board quite a few times.  Both alone and with someone else.  It hasn't worked for me.
