Churchgoers were left stunned after a man tore out both his eyeballs in the middle of a priest's sermon at Sunday Mass in a scene that resembled a horror film.
Parishioners in Viareggio, near Pisa, in northern Italy, could only watch as one of their number calmly stood up and carried out the horrific self-mutilation in front of them.
Aldo Bianchini, 46, who was born in Britain but has lived in Italy most of his life, is believed to have suffered from voices.

Probably someone on PCP who entered a church by mistake   If there are other cases, that may be a sign ...

If I got it right from other sites, he was there with his mother. *shrugs* Stuff like this has been rising lately, maybe those of weaker "shields" get affected by these energy changes Earth is going through, with dimensions melting into each other... I dont think we can really know what it can all bring. Just my opinion, of course.

I'm alive, yup. Just...more of a watcher than a writer, nowadays, I'm afraid.

It could be possession; there simply aren't enough details here for me to know for sure. I'd have to stick with a guy with a lotta problems until I knew for sure.

Also...Why didn't anybody stop him??? I'd imagine some guy standing up during mass and ripping his eyes out would be a big deal.

Thats one of the more interesting things Ive seen latley.

If anyone hears anything about any interviews from this guy or people that know him, pass it along. I would like to take a closer look at this one.

but, Ive talked with a main doctor of local mental hospital years back, it is really very hard to make a difference between an illness and actual abilities... (wasnt for me, to clear it up, it was part of my academic duties to follow mental cases, ah... beauties of being a writer  )
