Another way of describing this is to say that we are 'dreaming awake'.

Its a sophisticated use of our awareness that we can enter into from the waking state.
I was with someone the other day whilst they were experiencing the same thing.
They could go into memories, events, virtually anything, with an amazing degree of awareness.
Way beyond what we consider normal imagination.

Initially it can feel like being a bit derranged at times. Our mind becomes really 'loose'. When you start to become more familiar with this then any confusion you have will clear up.
Then with understanding and familiarity it will start to feel like a gift rather than making you question your sanity every time it happens.

Other things i would like to say about this are that it is a fantastic state for learning things directly.
Knowledge that has an experiential component to it like dance, acting, writing, even gardening can be learnt very quickly by people in these states. Typically because we can enter so much more fully into the experiences.

A few words of caution though. For now keep this attention on subjects that are natural and inspiring. Avoid things like heavy religious objects or items with horrible histories.
Also for now avoid letting this attention focussing on large bodies of water such as rivers or oceans. Such things have an innate tendency to capture this attention and carry it far away.

If only I could have met you and you told me this four or five years ago...It would have saved me a lot of trouble. I've learned to deal with it pretty well now but back then it was killer.
