I just heard of this phenomena called dream walking were one is able to converse with another within the confines of a dream. i was wondering if anyone knew about this can do it or has any experience with it.
the wind that chills the night, the fire's golden light
the oceans call to you, the earthen fated tune,
I am the ivy binding tight i hold the spells all through the night, i am
nightshade's fated swoon of deaths kiss and witches broom

I've had some experiences with dream walking. You can conversate with that person, explore the dream together..  Dream walking doesn't mean you can only enter other person's dreams. I've found myself in a dark place a few times where I could meet others I never met before. There are a lot of possibilies. Not everything is friendly. But it stays very refreshing in my opinion. A problem for most people is that you have to be able to lucid dream at will. Also, dream walking can be very dangerous to inexperienced walkers. If they get threatened they usually fall into a deeper sleep and lose the control they have. The dreaming will move to a more subconcious level.

Now I choose to stay away from someone else's dream because I believe it could be considered as mind rape. If that person doesn't want you there, is scared or sees you as a threat (which happens a lot because they don't understand) it is bye bye nice experience. You can try to manipulate the dream all you want, in the end the other person is the big controller of his/her own dream. The only thing you can do is try to leave. What I once did, which was very stupid, is to 'fight' back. I'm glad it only resulted in the person getting awake.

sounds interesting is there anymore to it than just being able to lucid dream at will and simply willing yourself to converse with another?

When you dreamwalk the places where you can go is limited by your imagination. It's the same as forming dreams, you can travel through earthbound places and into dreams of others. You're there with only a thought. Lucid dreaming is completely safe, you are inside your own mind, but dreamwalking happens outside your mind. You can encounter others who dreamwalk too or others who're not really like you. As I said, not everyone is friendly.

Astral travellers have a sort of astral transportation and can pull energy through it when they need it. In a dreamwalk you project yourself psychically. So you have only yourself and your thoughts to rely on.

When you open you mind, you open yourself to all sorts of things/beings. So when you get an encounter with a hostile being, really try to leave. :)

hmm so is this like astral projection into someones thoughts or sending a part of your mental self into the consience of someone else.

I would say thats one part of dreamwalking.
At that level yes you can experience the subjective perceptions of 'other' things.
Of course this is done through our own subjective censor so the effect can be strange.

With practice we can dream all inclusive energy generating realities.
This is like the level beyond percieving subjective experiences.
It is difficult to give a generic description of what this is without tripping up on our different uses of words.
Thats because the models of 'lucidity' and words such as 'astral' rely on limiting beliefs that dont really cope well with these next layer of experiences.

To really get into intricacies of dreamwalking and what is happening we need to get away from the old models of metaphysics. IMHO anyway. Otherwise its turns into a New age mess of misunderstandings.
