Does a song playing in your dream mean anything?

Last night I was having a dream (I think it was lucid) and then this song I knew started playing.

I've heard it before, but I hadn't heard it for a long time, or at least that I could remember.

Now I really like this song even though a day ago it had no meaning.

Usually that means my alarm is going and I have to wake up... I usually don't.

Other than that, I have no opinion on the subject, sorry (Although, you know, dreams are a figurative recollection of recent events in your life, so if you head that song recently, that's probably why it was in your dream)

that has happened to me before too. though, i don't think it means anything.things you dream about are linked to  things you have been thinking about a lot or the little things in the back of your mind.you probably just thought about this song subconsciously or heard it somewhere and thought " wow, thats a good song" and then simply forgot about it .but,like i said, i don't think it means anything.

I remember a long time ago i wanted to hear a song before i went to sleep. Needless to say the song didn't play and when i fell asleep i was awoken by the song i wanted to hear at 4 in the morning and i didn't fall asleep till 1.

This kinda doesn't have any similarities with what you state but i still thought it was weird because normally one hits REM after a couple hours of sleep so i awoke to it subconsciously.
