In The Heat Of The Darkness

(1/1)

Scotty:
In The Heat Of The Darkness
    I seek salvation...........

The air was hot and the night was young.
We danced that night, too drunk to have fun.
I awoke the next morning refreshed and sober.
Looked over and saw my friend roll her over.
"Get out of the damn tent," I got a gun".
The man bolts for the door as I check the gun.
Knowing full well that this can't be done.
I swing the gun to my girlfriends breast.
"Yah you having fun"?
Her sobbing and cries hit my mind
What have I done I have lost my mind.
I tremble, look down, walk away with no sound.
I had a heart but it has drowned.

An old weary soul,he has his days.
But that day may never be made.

The waves are weaker as I try and seek her.
The Darkness is colder and my fate held by my beholders.

So I remain pure to this day. My bride waits for me at heavens gate.
No not my distant love.
But the one who saves those who seek the love.

Where did you put my wings, Lord? It's time to fly today.
