As a poet, I have always had the nomme de plume blackromance.  That note is for all of you wondering why the heck I used such a title.  However, I'm thinking of changing that to something a little less bold, but I don't know as of yet.

I plan on using this space for a little bit of writing, of many varous types.  I plan to write poems, short stories (or links to them), and possible paragraphs of Latin.  If you have suggestions, please, please, please give me them, and I will do my best to comply.

But anyway, here's my first poem that I've been needing to write down for about a month and having been keeping in my head instead.

Snow,
White,
Glossy,
Beautiful,
Saviour of students,
Freedom from homework and quizzes.

Nice, not quite Haiku, not a sonnet, but still quite nice.

Actually, it's called a "Fib."  It's based on the Fibonacci Sequence.

Edit:  Hey, I just wanted to say that since I have to write a lot of essays for one of my classes, if any of you would like to be signed up to read them, let me know.  They aren't that great, but it is what I consider my art.

The French word martyr means the same thing as in English. "One who sacrifices his or her life, station, or what is of great value to him or her, for the sake of principle or to sustain a cause." i.e. Jesus Christ, many Saints. Usually used in a religious context.

Robigus' post meant this:
