[Whitedrake]

Once upon a time I crashed upon the sands.
Me a simple ocean man. called to them by beauty unseen, I thought her my queen but was I her king?
Happiness like I had never known, nor deserved, something so wonderful it seemed absurd.
I crawled from the ocean so cold and dark to her earthern world and was given a spark.
 The spark of life renewed, purpose found, given to me with barely a sound.
Though this gift it seemed was to be abhored, by all others who dwelled in her world, none would see me keep this gift, I was told I had earned.
 So I fought hard and long to keep my spark, and hear her song.
 This song unspoken, but always seen, in those beautiful eyes of my darling queen.
I fought and I fought as I had learned to do, from years of living in that deep dark blue.
 Now it seems she does agree, she does not want this creature from the sea, instead she will ,of course seek her own.
Those few words like a knife to bone.
So now it seems i must return to the horrid oceans i so spurned.
I trudge back now into the sea, and feel that darkness encompass me.
 It was this darkness she held at bay, now i return, no longer a stray.
Until that day when she sees fit, to have me crawl back from this pit.

 Good for you, Drake! I love the way you wrote that... a creature from the ocean. It's a new take on an old theme and it works beautifully. It is a bit choppy, but it's still a good read.
