Former park ranger Andrea Lankford recently published "Haunted Hikes: Spine-Tingling Tales and Trails from North America's National Park System" (hauntedhiker.com), about her top ten list of places to witness paranormal events, ghosts sightings, and so on.
She gave the journalist a list of her top ten spookiest corners out of the national parks she knows so well.

i don't think it'll ever make a show, but we have a canyon that's driven through on the way to glacier park, it's always colder through there, a lot of accidents happen in the area and on the other side of the road is a nasty river known for undercurrents and constant drownings, especially in the spring(silly fishermen). My dad used to tell me the story about how it's haunted by the native americans who use to hide on the top and attack the pioneers and trappers passing through their land, tossing their bodies in the river, and that the spirits of the braves are still there, angry at those who continue to pass through, it's just a few miles away from a vortex.
we used to love riding in the back of his truck and spread out our arms feeling the cold air chill us and then get warm once we passed through, the wind not seeming so cold, it's a pretty spooky place, but amazing beautiful. In the winter time there'll be a frozen wall of water to the ground and they dye it leaving it a wall of rainbows.

There are quite a few well-known places you can walk through in Illinois. One being Bachelor's Grove Cemetery in Midlothian, as well as Resurection Cemetery, known for "Resurection Mary." I haven't been to either, but my friends have, and they say that both are pretty eyrie places. I definently have to check them out.

Maybe Ghost don't like me, I have been to the places below (more than once) and have never heard or seen nothing :cry:

Markus, Sometimes you will never see a thing, but rather get a feeling. Energy seems to be the most relateable to ghosts. I have seen things I cannot explain, but more than that I feel them. You know its that feeling that causes the hairs on the back of your neck to stand at end, even when it is warm outside. Or maybe you just went at the wrong time. I'd say the weirdest place I have ever been to in Colorado is a trail back by Coors. I shall try to find out what they call the trail and list it here. Here we have deemed it "The Wood" for obvious reasons if you have ever been there. However it is mostly illegal to go there now. Seeing as how the wood is falling apart, and the cliff to either side will kill you if you fall. But it is quite haunted and I have felt the eerie chill of someone standing behind me when there was no one there, and hands upon me when I was standing alone. People say you can hear the screams of children, but I am not much for hearing them, just feeling them.

I really wish that I would see something paranormal..or experience something paranormal. I've been interested in it for years now.
Unfortunately, so far I've never encountered anything out of the ordinary. But I love reading stories about it.
