Title: A Question
Post by: Dark Lord M on August 09, 2006, 12:02:28 PM
I have been pondering this for a time, but havn't had the guts to ask. Do Pagans go to Hell? I mean I didn't want to ask the family being as we are just normal Christians who try to 'avoid' them, but I just want to know.

(I have nothing against them, and I don't plan on being one. I just want to know.)

I guess it depends on your beliefs. For example, if I believe that I'm gonna go to hell, then I will go. If I believe that I will get reincarnated, then I will be reincarnated. But if I did good in my previous life, the next will be better. No one can really tell because none here have died yet and came back. Not going to church because of your beliefs does not make you a siner. Harming people does.

That's an interesting point of view. As "Hell" and "sinner" are both religious concepts, specifically within this question Christian, then the answer is a resounding "Yes"! Of course, if you don't believe in God, then within your philosophy system the answer is "No". Within that of a Christian, it is still Yes.

Not going to church does not make a Christian a sinner, either. Not obeying God's Laws does make you a sinner. Being a pagan is a gilt-edged, one-way express ticket to Hell.

Not really it depedns mostly on the Beliefs and Pantheon the Pagan worships, The White Lady and Horned God send no one to Hel, But if you worship Oden or Zues there is Helhiem and Tartarus.
I have no plans on entering any hel for an Extended period. I have plans on visiting many different after lives thugh just to check it out. Of course we will have to wait and see If I can get past the doorman.

M is asking from a Christian point of view, however.

Well then the answer is some believe they could end up in a Hell, just no always the Christian one, which is based around Helhiem.

Actually most pagans don't believe in hell.

Is there a hell? I don't know. Could be, could be not. Nobody has any way of knowing for sure until they die.

but what if they didn't make it?  :|

there's a lot of factors one should consider, no matter what concept you choose of heaven or hell, it will affect you for better, or worse.

why make decisions lightly when it comes to your soul?

The Bible doesn't really say that there is a heaven in that way. It says that we will be resurrected here on earth in His New Jerusalem. And that is gonna be one helluva rush!  :-o   :-)

What we are now is nothing compared with what we Christians will be like at Jesus Christ's return when He calls His faithful children to be resurrected to immortality to share eternity with Him. Paul describes the marvelous transformation that will occur when we are resurrected from our graves: "There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; and the splendour of the heavenly bodies is one thing, the splendour of the earthly another. The sun has a splendour of its own, the moon another splendour and the stars yet another; and one star differs from another in brightness. So it is with the resurrection of the dead: what is sown as a perishable thing is raised imperishable. Sown in humiliation, it is raised in glory; sown in weakness, it is raised in power; sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body." (1 Corinthians 15:40-44, Revised English Bible).

Amen!

Ravening Monster God, that is worshipped so that when it arises it kills you quickly rather than watch the Hel it creates and die slowly.
