I share many of the same beliefs with Satanism, so I guess you could consider me as such, although I do not choose to label myself that way.
How is it possible that you have been a Satanist for a few months? According to the teachings of Dr. Anton LeVey, it is impossible to convert to Satanism because you have always held Satanic beliefs, you just haven't known what to call them.

Unknown - Before taking a label with such connotations onto yourself it may be a good idea to have a full understanding of what you are undertaking. My suggestion is to go ahead and get a copy of the Black Bible and read it when you can, truly contemplate what LeVey says. The path of the Satanist is no easier than any other belief system. In fact in some ways it is the most difficult. However, there are benefits to this path as well. For one, confidence in yourself, leadership skills, and other things that will allow you to interact with people in a way that places you in the advantagious position. As for the Christians around you; if they are true to their beliefs they will not judge you. If they do judge you, point out their shortcomings with their OWN faith. Tell them to perfect themselves before they try to perfect you, etc. Remember; this is YOUR belief, not theirs. They have no more right to trample on your beliefs because of the name applied to them, than you have to trample on theirs.
My family did know about me being a satanist as they saw something i said and threatened to make me leave the house forever but i played it off and now they think im a christian but secretly im still a satanist and forever will be i will read the satanic bible eventually i wish to also i know a lot about satanism ive read many things about from high preist and preistesses and have learned alot i would never stop being a satanist.

Just out of curiosity, why would you never stop being a Satanist?  What is it about the religion that attracts you to it so much?  Also, don't forget that your parents can look at all the sites you've been to if they know how.  If you're using a home computer to educate youself about Satanism and your parents disapprove, don't be suprised if they confront you again about it at some point.

Also, where have you gotten your information?  You said you learned them from High Preists and Preistesses, where was this?

Moloch,

Christianity has never been a religion of tolerance.   We are to proclaim the Truth no matter what happens to us.   You are correct however in saying that many Christians take this as a right to give a "my way or the high way" browbeating and that ain't so.  As for proof of this, one must look to the Gospels.  The only time Jesus became angry was when he was dealing with errant Jews.  He never yelled or screamed or browbeat or refused to relate or talk to repentant believers or non-believers.  He did call the non-repentant believers on the carpet and made them look foolish!   Long and short of it is, I will continue to witness to non-believers in the same way, loving and comassionate but straight foward and honest, like I have always done.  If someone claims to be a Christian here and then says things contradictory, I will address that problem.  Ask any of the few old timers here (Mr. Maggot, The_Seeker, Alexander) on my track record.

Krollusk,

I have earned nothing.  I am called to do this by God's Word.

Unfortunately, that's pretty true.  There are too many Christians who can quote the bible word for word without following its teachings.  Actually, I've heard a very effective method for dealing with Christians who just keep spewing quotes in order to convert others is to scream "Satan"(implying that their ability to continuously quote the bible without actually following what they say is much like the ability of the Devil to do so) and run away, but I've never tried this.  I guess that's the nice thing about college: the worst conversion problems you have are people passing out the New Testament for free, at least in my area.  Well, those people and the Doomsayers, but the Doomsayers are more amusing than anything else.

I personally know I don't follow everything that is set out in the Bible, simply because it feels too outdated, unfairly judgemental, and hypocritical to me after my Philosophy of Western Religions class, but I still keep some strong morals from my faith.  Despite my personal feelings towards  certain aspects the religion, I applaud those who are able to follow it well without sounding overly preachy (well, as much as can be avoided anyway), just as I applaud anyone who understands and follows their own personal religion well.

Zak, I have no need to ask them; I've seen it myself. I have met some folks like you who are good Christians and don't give the religion a bad name. However, the vast majority are liars and hypocrites. I refuse to associate myself with any organized religion because in the end nearly every person is just acting it out. Imagine that; RPG Christians? I mean no offense to you Zak, you are one of a very few that really does do everything they can to live up to the standards set forth in the Bible.

A former member used to call them Churchians.  They go to church and that's about it.  I understand what you are saying.

Be careful about that site.  It cites many facts about advances in science (i.e. quantum physics) that are very false, as well as historical facts that are also false.

Well, I can tell you right now that the teachings of that website directly conflict with the teachings of the Satanic Church. Please, do more research on LeVeyan Satanism and the Satanic Church. If you told your beliefs to a real Satanist, you would be laughed at. Hysterically. Like I'm doing now  *<:) *<:) *<:) *<:)

No. Absolutely not!  They may share a name, but they are different. Look it up for more info, because I refuse to waste your time with my verbiage when you could find out for yourself.

You are an idiot. An absolute idiot.
krollusk, that was a flame as defined by the rules in The Law and The Way.  Continuing with such actions will end in punitive results.  Just because you disagree with a member's beliefs (or what you believe to be the appropriateness of the naming of the beliefs) is no reason to insult their character as opposed to civily criticising the beliefs themselves. You have been warned.

theunknown447, you have in one way or another recieved an answer as to if there are any satanists in Monstrous.  However, I believe that it is necesary to first define what a satanist is in order to answer the who aspect of the inquiry.  Though your beliefs have fallen under critical analysis, the majority of it has been in a calm and educated manner.  Furthermore, you explicitly said that you intend to answer questions whatever they may be.

...if any of you have any questions that you would like answered i will answer them..

Sorry to come down hard on the both of you like this but you just have to be careful of what you say.

EDIT:This is being moved to the Religions, Cults, and Sects section seing as it has more to do with the beliefs of people as opposed to demons and the devil.

the most popular sort is leveyah satanism- more about worshipping the self designed by anton levey to shock people over something that really, isn't all that satan based

diaboltry, theistic satanism-the most commonly associated forms of satanism, making pacts with devils for rewards, summoning them up to do your bidding, sacrifice, worship of the demonic entity chosen by magical means.

the first form, harmless...the second form is when you do have to consider the possibilities of heaven, hell and how you'll end up when your dealings are done and can no longer exist in the physical world, at that point you're in theirs.

i chose the opposing path...but that's another story.

i just wanna say if a person says their beleifs are the only ones that are right how is that wrong? i think about an idea in my head come up with a theory or solution or opinion about it and therefore in my mind its the only correct beleif. however if you give me substantial evidence that your beliefs are correct i will admit it and change my beliefs but if you cant convince me sorry but ill stay with my beliefs.

There in lies the problem with beliefs in geneneral. If you have a belief, and you think its right to you. Then what about someone else has an oposing beliefe that would make it right to them. Now if they said you conclusion sux and you must change it, the you would think of them as egotistical to an extreme, and would then defend your position. Now if you said the same thing, then you would look egotistical and the person with the oposing beliefe would then try to defend there conclusion. Thats why we can not automaticaly say " YOUR WRONG," really its more about respect than anything. Well at least thats MY beliefe.

There's another problem with "belief makes truth".  Let's say someone believes Satanism is wrong, evil, and all those other stereotypes.  If they believe it, it makes it truth.  Now, let's say a Satanist believes their religion is right, good, and generally the complete opposite of that first person.  They believe it so that makes it truth also.  So that makes Satanism both the most wicked practice and the most noble, with both no redeeming qualities as well as all of them.  Obviously, this cannot be.  So therefore, we are left to grasp at straws and attempt to find the "best" truth.  We accept that our truth is not absolute, but we are still bound to follow it until we find a "better" truth.  That's why forums like this exist; we talk to one another to determine the best truth we can about the universe by facing many contradicting lines of thought.  It's a wonderous thing, really.

Oh, and offense is meant by using Satanism as and example.  I just thought it was most fitting given the topic.

To me the means outways the end. Thats why greatness through satanism is not for me. Personally I think everyone shoud aspire to be great as part of themselve, not to be told to obtain it. Oh an thank you phyer, I'm not very good at clearing a point lol.

My only problem with this is why hide what you practice. I myself have lost most of my family and those who said they were my friends. When I was accused of  being a satanist. That was about 12 years ago. Now i could careless what anyone thinks of me.

I will agree that while you are underage most will not take you in because of your age,but a few would.

If you are truely serious about doing this you should do what some have said on this forum. Make sure this is what you really want because it is a whole lot easier to join then it is to leave. This I know is the truth.

define a satanist.

with all the interest in demon work around here, i'd guess there are a few theistic sort of satanists posting. levey doesn't have anythihng really to do with satan, he's all about free will, egotism and being the strongest human you can be, without any spiritual influences to dampen the power we have that so many surrender to the supernatural realm.
