Title: Why Ghost hunters appear to be invariably fat ?
Post by: Loki on March 21, 2009, 02:44:27 PM
It strikes me when I read all those ghost hunters stories that these people are always fat (man usually shaved head with or without glasses).

I think that you better be agile and slim to hunt (if such things can be hunted) --  :gun:

Kreep's you never fail to make me smile with your postings.

But I have to agree, most people who claim to be ghost hunters are actually nerds who sit on their computer all day looking up recent "ghost sightings" then spreading the word, and have most likely never been out looking for them...not only that, most "ghost" pictures are photo shopped, or tricks of the light.

Here in the UK there is a program called "most haunted" its ridiculous, this stupid woman called yvette fielding takes celebs to old places, turns out the lights, on with the infra red camera's, and then random noises of stones moving, which are most likely the camera crew having a laugh with the stupidly scared celebs...its a disgrace to tv....

I'm done....

Been there done that, I was hoping for a more persoal explination, you know a little more than 3 sites repeating the same thing.  If you have nothing new to add then all good, but I was thinking you could entertain us with your personal experience.  One example would be  "Did you see the sobbing women?".  Google gives general information, that is no longer enough for me, I want more detailed information if I can get it.

yes; I have been to A.W. many times as well as Bachelor's Grove, Resurrection Cemetery, Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Mount Carmel  and too many others to mention that have been chronicled in MANY forums over the past few years,  but this thread isn't about me now is it?

how about you sport?  enchant  us with your tales of high adventure

See thats the problem, I have none.  I stopped off at Bachelors Grove on my way through Chicago, spent some time in the death tunnel, and a few other places, but still have not witnessed and paranormal activity.  It is as if I am a dead zone (hell I cann't even get orbs on a camera), So I am in search of a seriousely high concentration of paranormal activity.  One way or anouther I'll get what I want.  Matter of fact, sooner or later, I plan on visiting Haystack Landing in Cal., that place is supposed to be very bad to visit. (Oh, and on a side note, the scariest thing about Stull Kansas are the locals)  BTW, I love your pics (which is what lead me to ask about your experiences)

your not a "dead zone" Bachelor's Grove has been over blessed and sanitized to the point  of obliteration for one thing and out of the 11 trips i have made there I really felt something there only a couple of times ( the pics are interesting but  debatable)  I sometimes think our expectations of what a paranormal experience will be liker actually overshadows the more subtle things that you may have  simply overlooked ...I'll re post my experience  working at The Joliet Correctional Center in your thread ....

Peace
barek :-)

I'd have to agree with the concept of the fast & agile ghost hunter-then again, i've had a home possessed by somthing (pretty sure it was'nt a dead person-if it was anger manegment) As such, I don't want to hunt them..I want to be left alone.
The only reason I can think of for some of the so called "ghost hunters" to be fat is drinking..alot

Speaking as someone who has struggled with weight issues for a lot of my adult life - and as someone who basically has to shave their head as the best option of combating male pattern baldness for almost 20 years - I have to admit that I haven't found either to be of any real, detrimental effect on ghost hunting activities.....

As a paranormal investigator, I haven't seen too many fat ghost hunters, but I have noticed that so-called investigators have a lot of tattoos. Is there a correlation to tattoos and looking for paranormal activity?

A possibility to be sure.  Remember that symbolism is widely believed to be a focal tool spiritual channeling and what are tattoo's but symbolism?
