I was reading a book called "The Faery Teachings By Orion Foxwood" and somewhere it said that there are words which open up a Faery portal: Boram...Boram...Boram. Has anyone tried it or heard of this technique? Its on page 56, its a pretty famous Faery book.

If it's a well-known book... why not try it yourself?

I don't know, all it said that those words word open up a portal. I looked it up in Google and nothing came up. The author just wrote one sentence about those words, as if they were famous or something.

Still... if you think it will work... why not try it?

I'll try it, but I don't know how to pronounce it. What do you think? Bo-ram or Bo-rum?

It reads more like Bor-am to me. :?

Hmmm....I think I'll just pronounce it in different ways and see if that works.

That'd be your best bet, lol. Good luck!

Actually it worked but not the way I thought it would, I didn't expect it though, its really weird, see I was alone in my house and I was just fooling around. First I said the words but nothing happened, then I remembered a story where the words "Horse and Hattock!" could call fairies. I said those words and suddenly I had a feeling that I was really really alone but something was watching me, it wasn't something bad but it wasn't "good" either. All this was in the evening, around 7 o' clock. I always thought that my house was haunted by fairies because people, not only me, see things things from the corner of their eyes especially during winter. But for a split second I saw a whole bunch of dark things, around 4 or 5 but they were probably more around. My family came home but I didn't tell them about it. I was having a few doubts but in the morning my mother said "Remember those black things that we kept seeing last year? Yeah, I think they're back". Today, I must have seen them like 15 times, even now as I'm typing this. You should try those words, there's no doubt about it, you'll get huge results. Try it.

What did you do exactly? Just say the words or were you doing anything special?

Naw, I just shouted out the words a couple of times. I did it when it was getting dark, and all the lights of my house were off. You should leave and offering after that, they'll probably stay longer then.

I must try that. Will wait until there's no one else home, though :-P

I did the same. I thought my family would think its weird lol :-D

I'll wait until I get moved and we'll see what pops up on its own before I go calling for anything...

All my reasearch leads to the words "boram, boram, boram" is a spell used by wingless fairies in irish folklore to take flight. Says absolutely nothing about opening a portal.

Thats probably wrong. In my book, in the chapter called "Faery Gateways And The Realms Of Enchantment, it says this: "using a magical word such as "Boram...Boram...Boram", a word used in Irish Faery tradition to open the Faery way" and after that it states a couple other things, something about ragwort. It looks like you got the info from this site: http://www.medbherenn.com/faerie-lore.html (http://www.medbherenn.com/faerie-lore.html) The person who made the site copied the book but got some stuff wrong. Even in the book, right after the author talks about the word "Boram", ragwort and magical caps are mentioned.

You might want to incorporate magical seals in your work, too. Seals and sigils have been used time and time again in grimoires for summoning entities, and there are supposed to be seals for invoking faeries too. I think one of them is a 7 pointed star. Even Solomon used seals, supposedly to control demons to build his palace for him.

True.
