God doesn't hate. Human's rely on their emotions to help guide them through life and as a protection mechanism, emotions end up flawing our sense of compassion for one another. When one is afraid of something that is different from their comfort zone they automatically attack it, instead of trying to understand it and accept the other being with total love and devotion, they put their gaurd up and attack their boundries. We should be aware that God, Goddess, universal consciousness or whatever you believe in has something humans want to obtain or strive towards. That is total peace within oneself and with all that is around it. Compassion and love are intense, and sometimes even difficult characteristics to learn because when one tries they may become frustrated with others around them or within theirself. When we release our instinctive impulsive nature we go against what we truly want. What we really want is peace and happiness. Without those then we never fully live. However, in modern day society this is rare because we successfully do the opposite and act in a selfish manner. Sometimes we even become selfish for someone else's benefit. If there is no compassion and love there is no peace. If we cannot forgive others/others and not recognize that we are purposefully dividing differences due to natural instincts and lack of trust then we move farther from the whole idea of humanity. Nature is destructive, that is an obvious and I am not saying to not recognize the destructiveness and ever changing, but I am saying that if we cannot find peace within ourselves then we can never find peace with all, created a gap between the ultimate and the self.

So does God hate goths? The answer is NO. It is a phase, a change, a culture, God is change and is compassion. God is the suffering and happiness. God is everything. God is both the test and the answers, we just have to stop looking at the test and seeing how hard life is and difficult it may be to understand. Instead we should take it piece by piece and take the answers that are within because you have the answers. Second guessing is our compulsive nature and should be disregaurded because it is a false identity we have created in our own minds because we lack trust and faith within ourselves. If we fear ourselves then peace can never be accomplished. Happiness is in many forms. There is short term happiness, long term happiness and infinate happiness. People can go entire lifetimes with or without short term or long term happiness, but infinate happiness is rare. If we can only be happy with everything else but not ourselves then we can never receive infinate happiness and are thus thrown back into the universe to once again find this. Therefore compassion and contentment are important when striving for peace. If you can be content with change and hold compassion for all, including yourself, then you are on the right path to freedom.

That's really well put, but emotions like love and happiness are like coins, the other ide of love is hate, and the other side of happiness is sadness. One can't exist without the other, right? Just like light and darkness, and good and evil.
When we are not curious about the world around us, we might as well be dead.

Both are true, but I think Rave's point (and correct me if I'm wrong on this), is that they shouldn't use God as a front man for their issues.

If you hate people-especially for no apparent reason than that they're different, then your acting directly against God's will.
Love thy brother & all that.
