More likely is the "Multiverse" or "Many Worlds" theory. This one uses quantum physics and mechanics to theorize that there is indeed a new universe created and existant for every chance that can happen. Thus one original Universe may instantly propagate exponentially for each variable that is possible at each smallest possible instant of time. As each Universe forms it is immediately and instantly removed from our perception by our own little "quantum selectors", which we do legitimately have in our brains. Thus we are prevented from being flooded with information beyond our capacity to handle. Drugs such as Lysergic acid Diethylimide may in fact inhibit these selectors in some way, allowing us to percive other possible universal qualities, or some of the other things that go on around us that we ourselves blind ourselves to.
