I never said it was alright, or that I condone it. I only said that thye deserve some of what they've been historically dishing out to the rest of us. I was born and raised a Christian, and raised to believe that my particular church was "the only correct church", etc.  As a teen, I opened my eyes, and have kept them open ever since. I refuse to stand by and allow any of you to bash someone for acting on those same rights that entitle you to disagree. SA spoke her mind, encourage that, or soon you may not be able to do it without persecution yourselves.

As to the original post which started all of this, I found it very entertaining, and a very accurate description of what christianity is all about. If that doesn't set well with you, you are free to express your opinions as well. Just as I am free to ignore them, along with any and every opinion I come across, whether I agree with it or not.

i'm sure you take great joy that christians these days are persecuted, in ways and manners that you seem to view they deserve because some whacked kings and greedy men saw an opportunity hundreds of years ago to take advantage of poor, ignorants?

the picture demonstrated that the same ignorance that allowed those atrocities to happen hundreds of years ago is alive and well in our world today, some find it a joke, i found it rather a cliche attempt at shock value from a hateful and ignorant person; that's my opinion of the picture and it left me with more pity for the creator than offense at the image...but suggesting that modern day christians who are nothing like the medieval hierarchy that was birthed by rome, a country that cruelly persecuted christians themselves is insulting.  i'm one of those born again christians and realized how dangerously whacked occult pursuits are, choosing the humble life of a non whore, worshiping one Mighty God over all the demons, devils gods and spirits i engaged...and who offered me amazing opportunities to destroy those things blocking my way...but through Christ and ultimately His father i realized that's not the way we were intended to be as humans, our bodies and minds are above petty spirit games, deserving more respect for our flesh  and all it contains as a mortal temple holding our eternal spirit until it's ascended.

but i don't go about making jokes about pagan orgies in the moonlight to goat headed gods, killing babies to please their master with their wicked deeds and sexual debasings... i know not all the occult is like that but the statement is the same difference, comparing the faith a person developed in Jesus to a zombie horror movie, the joke is that the occult is often the inspiration for those horror movies.

Honestly, if I had know someone would be so seriously offended and sensitive for not taking it as a joke like I and Moloch did, I wouldn't have posted it.

Monstrous isn't all one Christian site, I thought is was free to speak our minds. What if I went to a topic dedicated to a certain thing and I kept trying to prove it was incorrect/wrong/? So does this mean I can jump to any topic discussing a religion and accuse of bashing Atheism, right? Wrong.

Raz - You might not be as thick-skinned as people some like me, when suffering in the hands of a religion(s), for they have failed to convert me to it because I  have a different opinion. You may not have brought hell to anyone because their beliefs, though, so I am sorry.

I have observed that the Abrahamic religions generally tend to be greeted with suspicion in parts of the world where other religious beliefs are dominant, especially in many regions in Asia where the overwhelming majority of people tend to be adherants of other religions that are perceived to be less ''rigid ''than Christianity, Judaisam and Islam. Now, being an agnostic myself, I personally have no strong opinions on the subject, but the idea of a religion that proclaims itself to be the only path to true spiritual salvation ,while promising eternal damnation for unbelievers, is something that many find rather unplatable and perhaps even potentially dangerous to the existence of their own faith.  I don't really share that opinion myself, but it certainly explains the anti Christian hostility you find in some places.

SA .Ok. for the last time, i did not mean to make the font so damm big, secondly while i do not view jesus as my lord and savior,(due to a difference in opinion a long time ago). he is still a friend, so no bad mouthing him ok?

Second of all, while we are not a "Christian" site. we are a sight that respects other people's religions due to the fact that these things influence the development of those under them, and therefore maybe a sensitive spot for many people. Ergo we must respect them. (note: as a mods we do not start these things)

Third, hell is a wonderful place to cure colds.

Jordyn, it is precisely because of the oversensitivity of some of the Christian members that a new rule had to be created to reign them in. You're completely in a foment over someone posting a joke that you didn't like. How do you think those of us who are tired of being preached at feel? I never once asked nor demanded that you shut your trap about your christ or your god. I fully recognize your right to free speech. However, I do ask that you respect my rights as well. If I decide to trash someone, their religion, or their opinion on any topic; do kindly butt out before you let your ignorance show again.

Oh and you trashing the religion of others is fine and dandy? i think not! ........... this topic has been nothing but trouble. i'm gonna lock it..
