As promised here is the discussion topic. And as its creator I should explain my fascination with this. Some years ago, 12 by my recollection, I began seeing visions, or flashes of things that can only be described as a movie in my head seen through someone else's eyes. These would happen in the middle of the day, walking down the street, talking to someone, eating, you get the idea. There was no apparent catalyst for them and I ad a few MRI's to rule out tumors/ other anomalies (although all that radiation probally gave me one now    ) and seizures were alo ruled out. People said when they happened to me I would just stop doing anything. A few times I even stopped breathing for almost a minute, but I never fell or fainted or turned blue/red whatever. Anywho  these flashes were of daily things of times long ago. The most frequent ones appeared to be some sort of early colonial era. This prompted me to research clothing and daily living of various times in history. I discovered the time I was seeing based on the clothing, surroundings, ect was from around 1610 literally 3 years after Jamestown was established. The more I researched these things the more vivid the visions became. I have had some of far earlier time periods, but the most vivid were the colonial ones. I have had lengthy dreams about them too. I began to realize these things were actually me. It was me and yet it wasn't. I could interact in them and feel/smell/hear everything as if I were really there. But I knew even though it had the illusion of true interaction, whatever I did was being done exactly as it had then. Kind of hard to explain. Anywho, only a few years ago I discovered I was a vampire then too, though much more secluded and secret about it, for obvious reasons. I was a blacksmith in the colonial times and had similar professions in the older ones. There were many other things I saw and learned, but I will save them for later on as apparently people already want to start posting here 

I believe in reincarnation & stuff, but if I have any past lives, I don't know bout it.

I have very vivid dreams like memories and the like, but... I don't know about my past lives.  I think it may be one of the reasons why I'm so... odd.

It started with dreams, then with contacts, then with actually meeting people who knew my past life, although not knowing I was reborn. Then I saw the picture of who I was. Its still hard to piece s**t together, I still know almost nothing in my opinion.

Wow, got any advice for trying to learn if you do, indeed, have a past life? Let alone trying to learn more of it?

Indeed. Ever been drawn to a particular era more than others? Almost to the point of obsession? If so research the mundane details about it and try to put yourself in that time. You might be surprised what you come up with.

Yes Petling try to start here. If it doesn't work at first, try a different timeframe. You might not be hitting the right one.Sometimes its really difficult when someone has only lived 1 or 2 past lives. Kind of like trying to find your contact lens in a bubble bath

Most obsessions I have had revolve around animals.  Eras... that's a tad harder.  I know I HATED Colonial American history class, so that's gotta be a no.  Unless I lead a really crappy past life there and I don't want to remember it   I like Prehistoric stuff.  When I was 5 I ran around my house like a velociraptor and growled at the cats.  But that's an animal 

Um... Yeah, this is difficult for me.  I love Ancient History.  ...I have come to the conclusion that I'm probably never going to know

Which brings up an extremely interesting point, thank you. I also believe people could have been animals in past lives, though not as commonly. That kind of follows, from what I understand, along the lines of Therians. Prehistoric you say? Hmm, may be kind of difficult sorting that one out hehe.

Not a therian, but I know my past life was not what I am now.

I think I might have had one in Japan somewhere, but I think that might just be my Manga addiction talking.

Maybe places that we feel connected too have something to do with past lives?  Or maybe it's a totally different gravitation.  I love Switzerland and if I had the money I would move over there.  It felt perfect!  But I'm also 1/16 Swiss, so it could be ancestral memories?? What is everyone's take on those? 

I believe in that stuff, too. I think it's just the next step up from instincts. You know, the stuff that tells us to run from fire? Well, it makes sense to me.

Well, I get to visit Italy soon (if I keep my grades up).  I guess I can compare that trip to my Switzerland/Germany/Austria/Leichtenstein trip and see if i was just the trip that made me feel awesome or if Die Schweiz really does have a place in my heart for me

Now, does hypnosis really work? I mean, can you use it to bring out former life memories? Or is it all just the power of suggestion?
