just wondering if anybody can tell me how EVP works, and why?
i want to belive....yes, i know its a rip off lol

Me and the people I work with have a collection of EVP we have obtained. It is real. Some can be chalked up to static, background noise and such but we have a few that are undeniably real. Unless you decide that we are liars and invented them, so, I guess that's why these things are never proven. Anyway. Theory is basically what ladygriffen said. Due to the ghosts ability to effect electro magnetic field it can leave imprint on electronic recording devices.

Just to add to what Angelus said, EVP & Spirit photos both presumably work because these devices are more sensative then human hearing or vision so they are able to capture things the human body cannot. It may be similar to the abilities of animals to detect spirits. Since dogs can hear higher frequencies it may be possible they are hearing the EVPs we can only capture on tape.

Ive never seen it being used for idle chit chat. We hae only used it for proper communication, ask why its here and stuff.

I know you didnt. Lol. Its the same with every spirit evidence. Some people just want to believe it so much they dont check the evidence.
