I just what to know what everyone likes .... i also wanted to see if anyone likes the same music as me which is alternative and rock
-
Mainly progressive metal for me, but I love anything that has a dark atmosphere, has good melodies and creates tension and climaxes well. I love Nick Cave almost as much as I love Opeth.
-
I'm pretty much with Fatass on this one. I love Psychon Nine, and Sopor Aeternus, but I also love MSI, Slipknot, and a lot of other bands.... I also like horrorcore, though it's beginning to get a little jaded.
-
Metal, of any kind, as long as it has a hard edge.
-
Classic rock and eighties rock and metal. And my secret shame. Billy Idol.
-
*double blinks turns head away* "Did he just say Billy Idol?" "I'm going to pretend I did'nt read that"
I like all music except Country(excluding Johnny Cash), Gospel, christian rock(excluding Flyleaf), and Polka.
I'll listen to Classical, and then some metal. Alternative, with some folk music in there like Flogging Molly.
-
You listen to Christian Rock and judge me for liking Billy Idol. For shame. :-(
-
Hey now, I listen to Billy Idol. Why not, he was one of the original bad asses, hell, he helped pave the way for most of our favs. of today. I look at it like honoring a valued elder. Now Elton John on the other hand......
-
Slipknot, Mudvein, Pantera, Anything hard, the harder the beter!!
I also like classic rock like Black Saboth, Nazereth, and even Skynyrd, Yeah call me a redneck, I dont give a s**t,
And in alternative, NIRVANA!! nead I say more!!
Cobain was a goddamn genious, Silver Chair, Alice in Chains,
and to even it out I like Country too, Big and Rich, Hank Sr. and Jr. Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney listen to it, listen to the words, CASH, Listen to the damn words!!!
-
I also like metal too. I like disturbed, slipknot, mudvayne, etc.
-
I said the only christian rock was Flyleaf. Forgot to mention classic rock.
-
I said the only christian rock was Flyleaf
If you can find them try Leaderdog, they are Christan metal ( I know, its like a double standard, but they are just the same. )
EDIT: Just found out that they changed their name to Leaderdogs for the Blind
-
There's also Virgin Black, a gothic metal band. Pretty awesome if you can get past the s**tty Christian lyrics.
-
Any musicians??
check this out if you can read tabs.
http://www (http://www). ultimate-guitar. com/
any member can tab a song, so there is alot of wrong tabs, but there is alot of good ones too. check it out, hell its free, if you can play, or want to learn, you cant lose!!
-
I like pretty much anything, but mostly rock :-D
-
Saliva, Disturbed,....
-
DAMN!! you speak my language, except for green day, dookie was ok but they offended me with that ignorant American bulls**t, kinda pissed me off. Metallica rocks though, everything els you said does.
-
AHHH, credit given......pluss.........respect.......gotcha, I understand what you mean.
No doubt at all, say what you mean, Mean what you say. Point taken,
-
The other day I caught myself typing 'pippins song techno remix splash' into google. COME ON, is it that hard to make me cool?
This is what I found:
http://www.livevideo.com/video/E5A49086CFC047B99E2722E4379CAD15/lotr-techno-remix-wolf-s-rain.aspx (http://www.livevideo.com/video/E5A49086CFC047B99E2722E4379CAD15/lotr-techno-remix-wolf-s-rain.aspx)
As for other musical tastes, techno until my brain throbs to a beat of it's own, then some 'metal' until it's bleeding from every raw, open wound and only then some classical/jazz/instrumental until it heals and I can do it all over again.
-
Hell Ryobi, that Aulstrailian accent makes ya sound cool whether you are or not, even if ya do listen to that techno crap. HA!! just screwin with ya.
back to what you were asking Moonbaby, I hate boybands!! they make my skin crawl.
hana montana sux, I didnt even capitolize her name she sux so bad! there is alot of others but thats all I can think of for now. oh yeah and any disco, just shoot me in the farking ears!!
-
Never understood why an Australian accent is that sought after...
You like metal ravinclaw? I have listened to metal in the past... downthesun? alexisonfire, black label society, coal chamber, zyklon, Tommy Dalhstrom, Zeb Nilsson (legendz) and in general Aeon *cough* forever nailed *cough*, okay and maybe a little disturbed? Not much, but do I pass/redeem myself? :-P
even if Disco just might be mai baby luv when the entire genre of Jazz dies. Best chill out evening will forever be; it's storming outside, turn on some Dizzy Gillespie, pour yourself some steaming Kalhua (190), turn up the music till it's all you can hear and just sit there watching the lightning strike, dayumm.
-
You were already cool in my book Ryobi, dosnt matter what you listen to.
the accent thing though, Aulstrailian and Jamaican, sound cool as hell to me, dont know why.
who ever said Everlast was stupid? I like them pretty good.
seriously though as far as techno, Rob Zombie does alot of sorta techno sounding stuff, but he adds some head spliting guitar riffs with it, I think it rocks, you may like it Ryobi, check it out.
I like some country music, thats probably just as bad as anything else out there as far as getting you made fun of, But screw it I dont give a s**t.
-
i like green day and hell ya i am glad they refused to let walmart ruin the cd
-

Well I'm flattered but I like the UK accents (ireland, england, scotland) more than Australian . We all sound like yobbos to me (oh wait, we are!).
Rob Zombie is pretty well know around here so we all sort of grew up with him, or at least I did. In fact it was him and a few other techno-ish musicians that got me in to techno, once I started to realised that I liked the bass beat and drums more than the 'mad riffs'.
Good on ya for liking country ravinclaw and for not giving a sh*t, only way to go.
-
I dont care much for Greendays music, but I am behind them on the freadom of speach thing,no one waunts to hear a beep where there should have been a fark.
Remember when alot of bands were making a fuss about people downloading free songs?
The singer from Smashing Pumpkins said something like this,
"Once you record a song, and put it out there, it dosent bellong to you anymore, it bellongs to everyone" thats not an exact quoet, but you get the point,
I like some of their songs, but after he said that, I have a hell of alot more respect for them,
know what I mean?
-
I am alot like Moonbaby, I have the widest range of music. You can name it and I listen to it.....except classic gospel.

-
Me too, music obsessed I mean, Im a metal head, but I like just about anything that gets my blood flowing.
probably be a good idea to go to idle and introduce yourself.
just a thought.
-
For the forum's consideration, I also have my own band, called 'The Sheitans', we do 70's style rock'n'roll like AC/DC, I'm the lead singer. Anyone down for that?
-
Yeah, I like AC/DC, I like alot of 70s rock, Black Saboth, Nazereth, Skynyrd, just about all of it.
I play guitar, was in a band, use to make some extra money around here doing shows, but we split up over some dumb s**t.
-
That's why you gotta keep a band in the iron fist. Make it a kind of a family.
-
Well, the drumer left us to play in another band, their not Big Time, but they make a living doing it, but it shocked the s**t out of me because he dosnt even like their kind of music.
A country blues sort of a thing, but I dont blame him for it.
The singers wife started raising so much hell, you know how it is with the girl situatioun if you play in alot of bars, but that farked that up.
I still hang out with the other quitarist, hes a good dude,
we still hammer one out once in a while.
-
Well, I hope my Sheitans will survive without me for a year cause I'm coming to America and they're staying in this s**thole.
-
thats really cool i really like AC\DC they are a really good band........
-
Thanks.

If it was aimed at me I'm headed to California, to a small town near Fresno.
-
I don't know, I kinda like deserts and dry, dead places.. in a way they're more originally gothic than allthose rainy Forkses and all.
One of my books is centered on a demi-god stalking through deserts and seeking revenge.
My "Fall" is mostly situated in the desert.
-
Same here. Damn, I'm the guy who had his first damn kiss under the rain, I should just shut up..
And most of my other works are situated in Englandlike places.
Not dry.
Not sunny.
Perfect.
-
Nah, same here. I'd have a wagon of musicians following me arround, doing the "ta-da-da-dah" stuff when something dramatic happens. By the way, thanks for the Bad Things by Jace Everett, it's my ringtone now.
-

Oh, man. I would just LOVE for my first kiss to be in the rain, but I'm not that lucky. And to get back to topic a little bit, the music in the background to my kiss would be from my favorite band Apocalyptica. Gotta love the cellos. And am I the only one who thinks life needs background music?
Are you also one of those people who tunes out sometimes and realise that the entire world is playing a beat? Like once when it was raining, our classrooms have tin roofs so you can hear it drumming very clearly, a teacher was lecturing and would keep on taking dramatic pauses, one kid was tapping his pen against the desk, another was beating out a beat from his mp3, a few were writing, the kid in the front kept on going 'mmm', ahh' oh!' to everything to teacher said and man, it was the perfect mix of background noise.
Life's song or something bro.
-
Beautiful words, Ryobi.
-
Yeahh... kinda reflects most of my personality. All that shadows and doubts and bad things and the rock'n'roll motive...
-
Okay, Ryobi, that's real interesting, but I meant there should be songs and music playing that fit the right mood. Plus, it would be helpful if someone were stalking you with the intent on murdering you. You could notice by the creepy music that keeps getting louder.
Yeh I know, but I guess for me the soundtrack for that situation couldn't have be anything other than instrumental . Also, must add, this is the reason buskers should never be taken off the streets...
-
i think she was asking u dev but i think she means like where are like now... casue we live in missouri in the us and i think she was looking for something like that
-

Background music for life....interesting. I'd have to say that if my life had background music it would be like living in a Heavy Metal movie, as I do eveything to pretty much an extream. I may be old, but that will never slow me down. Play hard die happy.

If someone was to start filming my life right now, the intro song would most definitely be Tarantula by Pendulum. Then probbers some Bloc Party - Intimacy remixed or some Infected Mushrooms/more Pendulum/Prodigy for the 'chill-out I'm thinking moments' and Modest Mouse/89ers/DeejayRT/weird world instrumentals would cover the rest.
-
Isabella - hope you don't mind me to really take you up on that offer.

Arctic, just a word of advice, this forum gets flu when someone double posts, so removing the second one will keep it healthy. Thanks mate ;)
-
I had a hard time with this one.
I like all kinds of music... even hip hop, rap and pop. Pop might be because of my kids, not sure. It just depends on the songs, themselves. Not the artists, or genres.
-
Arctic, just a word of advice, this forum gets flu when someone double posts, so removing the second one will keep it healthy. Thanks mate
Sorry Nina, I'd hate to be the cause of forum flu! I just have a really cruddy net connection and sometimes the post doesn't take the first time....
