Not all demons would wanna kill u, they enjoy suffering and torture too, so to make someone weak and scared is more of their thing then killing someone right away. But i do get the point anyways. Could be something else. Which i doubt, but true, we need more info to be sure.

I would definitely suggest a blessing or cleansing of the house, I mean from what I've seen that can help with a lot of things. And yeah, it might not be good for her to sleep alone for the time being. Still, if you learn anything new, make your to let us know. Like I said, the more information the better. Even the small details can sometimes help.

It would be a good idea to try to document some of this activity. Maybe put a camera and audio recorder in her room. I know the main concern is to keep her safe, but if it gets worse and it very well may, its good to have proof. There are people who can get rid of this thing whatever it is, but the good ones want proof. Another thing that is a must, you have to take her to a doctor to make sure there are no physical problems. Believe it or not, something as simple as a kidny infection can cause some people to holucinate. If that turns out alright the doctor may recomend a shrink. If so, do it. If physical and mental problems are ruled out, then other actions can be taken. Keap us updated. For some reason I have a strong fealing this one is telling the truth.

I wouldnt try to id what ever causing the problem but i would look towards the child. Maybe your child could speak with the dead or some how be a gateway to the other side.

If I may give my opinion - what I have read in your OP is a little alarming, SKGS. I would definitely have her sleep in your bedroom, but given your draining of energy (which, if I read correctly, occurred somewhere else?), it may be wise to be ready to stay with another parent or friend until the house is cleansed. I don't mean to say that you ought to do it right away, but be ready to.

Ah... where to start...
On my daughters background. Ever since she was little she was telling me that she would see shadows (at that time I had no knowledge about shadows and like most I didn't think it was real) in her room. Up to this time she has to have nightlights on at night and I mean a lot of them.

About "it" - "it" comes mainly when she does not have a necklace on that her boyfriend gave to her for x-mas, which his mother gave to him to give to her. Also "it" apperently follows her when she leaves the house. "it" also calls her name in school and other places. This happens almost daily.

Info..... her boyfriend had encounters with the "supernatural", like flying items in his room, when he was younger. His family, mother - grandparents are/were familiar with "magic". His mother was a wiccan for a while. What kind or if currently practiced couldn't find out yet, but I will.

I already have a dr. appt. scheduled for her to rule out anything physical.

After we do sage etc. I will have her take the necklace of for a night and see what will happen.

One of my close friend's little sister was waking up crying every few minutes about hearing things and such and because creating charms is somewhat of a specialty for me, I was requested to start a charm that held all of our energy in it to give it some extra... oomph. The charm not only silenced everything speaking to her but also blocked visions and keeps her safe.

It is possible the mother of the boyfriend wanted to make sure she was safe such as a... god this is a horrible analogy but I'm having issues of my own as I'm dealing with so FORGIVE MY TIRED BRAIN--like an over zealous father gives his son a condom before prom just encase it is needed.

How old is your daughter? Definately ask the mother about the necklace. Do things ever happen, name calling etc, when she is wearing the necklace? If nothing ever happens when she is wearing it then she may simply need to always wear it. But having more info about it is always a good idea.  The voice that calls her name, what does it sound like or does it change?

You should protect your child but it may just be trying to get to you. be cautious in your precedings

 SKGS.  One wonders if there are others in your area who prescribes to the not so normal practices that society so vehemently shuns.  One also wonders if you have in the past or present had contact with such individuals.  One further wonders if said individuals may have less than cordial feelings towards you.

  One has experienced where a practiced individual will project their ID for the purpose of infiltration, and contact with children is a much easier way of gaining access to place than that of an adult.  (Children are more open to suggestions in other words.)  As it has already been stated there are other explanations than Demons and may I add there are different forms of "PSy Vampires" than what most people envision.  Practitioners of old were often easily able to manipulate energies for their own purposes.

What do you think id ing this  entity will give you? I think id ing is a dead end road. It gives a sense of faux security in the face of the unknown. Mental ideas concepts and notions never face the unknown. They literally belong to a different sphere of activity. You dont take these with you when you are in the midst of an encounter. They are only ever of any use afterwards trying to establish wth happened and propping up our beseiged thought systems and id.

So what exactly is the problem here? We all have encounters with the known all the time. We just filter most of it out. Most of what we call problems are usually just issues of emotional disturbance or mental confusion for things we do not understand. These are issues that are fixed on this side. Dont confuse where the problem is.
I would guess that your daughter has been upset by these experiences. Maybe she has fear worry concern.... whatever. If so they are issues for this side to be organised and balanced on this side. It is this side of her that is reporting the problems yes?

Whatever happens to her as she encounters the unknown is a separate issue. It is a completely separate sphere of existence. I know you have had your own interactions with the unknown over the last few years and have subsequently been re-arranging your understandings as a result of these. Where you have arrived at the moment with your understandings i dont know but your daughter now will have to start doing something similar. She will now have to come to terms with directly encountering the unknown. Where she goes with it will determine her spiritual unfoldment. It is her life path.  If she is mature enough i suggest a very frank family conversation about your own experiences. Thats a conversation on the same scale as sex education. Its a real birds and bees moment. Your job is ensure you you create a healthy balanced human being capable of handling such a powerful new aspect to her life.

For me the issue here is how to pass on to the next generation an understanding that we are much more than is commonly believed without damaging their id. Without passing on stupid associations or distorting their fragile psychic architecture with ridiculous cultural models and naive myths toted as reality. Child abuse is real and ignorance is no real defence. You are now presented with a very real opportunity to create a well balanced daughter for the next generations. The fact our parents never taught us properly  about these things is a shame.

For your own peace of mind and understanding please consider the following;

It is a stage people go through when parts of their dormant energy structure become active. Just like yours did some while back. Another part of her is becoming active and alive thats all. Just like sexual awakening it needs to be dealt with sensitively but firmly. No drama, no panic, no overt worry or theatre. Certainly no crap about demons devils, vamps, evil or exorcism.
