An intelligent entity can hide itself from whomever it chooses. Nina's idea of video cameras, with night vision capability, is an excellent one. This way not only will they have proof of the activity,  they may actually catch an image of the entity, plus if it does hide from strangers it is more likely her setting up cameras will catch something.

She says, while her son was at school she opened up all of the curtains in the house, cleaned all the reflections, and placed the cameras she borrowed in his room ( hidden ), her room, the bathroom and the dining room. Hopefully we'll catch something. She's terrified, but trying to remain as calm as possible. I told her to control her thoughts and try to calm her energy, and if she couldn't, try soothing music, tea and a good book. Here's hoping we catch something, and here's hoping nothing extreme happens.

Great, it is very important that she doesnt panic. If there is an entity there, it would only feed it.

Only one of the cameras recorded anything, but she's bringing them over so I can have a look. She's bringing her Medium and her son, as well.
She told me the nightmares got worse and she's so scared something bad is going to happen she's going to have her son stay with his aunt and cousins until the "situation is handled".

I don't guess I blame her, and here's hoping we get some answers off those vids.

The nightmares could be a big clue. See if she can write them down, anything she can remember about the dream. There are cases of entities, human not just demonic, causing dreams/nightmares as a way of showing what happened. Let us know what the one camera caught & she should leave them up for multiple nights to the point where she pretty much forgets they are even there. That will make a more natural setting & possibly allow more to be recorded.

So, I'm a little more confused now than I was in the beginning I think.

I asked her to write her previous dreams down, and any that may come up, and she's given me permission to share one of them, which she'll email so I don't have to type out...
But the video freaked her out so badly she left the camera ( and her coffee & purse, too ) on top of the jeep as she went to leave. Not sure if it was done on purpose, or if she was just that distracted. Either way, it's messed up, both because of the coffee and the fall off the vehicle. I don't know the extent of it, but her Medium guy is kinda upset about it.

I did get to see something though. There's a streetlight outside their window, so they keep the curtains closed at night. I felt like I was trying to watch a flower or something, because I could see something, but couldn't identify it as a figure until it was almost completely formed. I don't think it was entirely solid, but it blocked the stream of light as if it was coming from in between the curtains. The guy fast forwarded, and for about 10 minutes or so the figure just stands there. So I began to think maybe there was one of those nocturnal type birds outside the window, just creating a bigger shadow because of where it was in comparison to the light, then then the figure moved to the dresser, and faded like it had appeared.

She called me when she got home, and said that she checked the curtains and her dresser. Nothing was off about the dresser, but the curtains looked like they had been melted together. ( She described it like taking a lighter to plastic and then pressing it while still soft )
So, I'm a little more confused than I was in the first place. But it seems like this thing just doesn't like Light, at all.
She took the curtains down and replaced them with ones that still let light in even when they're closed, at my suggestion.
The cameras are going to be recording for the next few days. ( This is as long as the Medium and his team are comfortable with leaving their equipment, now. )

Well, I'm clueless about it as of right now. Give me old Ghost stories, about things like the screaming skulls, and I know my way around. Give me this stuff and I'm lost.
I'd go there myself, but I'm in a high risk pregnancy, so I won't be doing much of anything for awhile as far as all that is concerned.

She's refusing to give me updates, but she's telling me that she's staying there with her brother now, because she's terrified of being alone. Her son is still staying with other relatives. I'm concerned, even more so now that I don't know what's going on and if she's alright.

Well, if you want me to, I can check with some of my Ghosthunter friends in the States. See if they are able to maybe go there and check it out?

In all honesty, I'm beginning to think she doesn't want other people involved because she's found out that her son is the reason all this started. One of my students apparently goes to school with him, and has told me about how strange he's been acting lately. I asked her to try and get a real conversation going with him, and see if she could steer it in the occult direction. Apparently, once he realized that's what they were talking about, he got very angry with her and avoided her the rest of the day.

I'm going to let this go. If she comes back for more help, I may post in here again. Until then, Thank you all for your help and advice on this!

Its a good thing that now she knows where to start. It was an interesting thing to discuss and give ideas to. ;)

I may be posting other things, because apparently she's not the only one around here with something unfriendly. Hehe, help one and word gets out. Not a bad thing, after all I did complain that I'm going to be bored if I didn't get a project.
