Has anyone seen this series?
I like this series but for anyone who has children, this is not for the Kiddies....Sex and Violence Galore

About:
Thanks to a Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures "coming out of the coffin." Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out.
Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), however, knows how it feels to be an outcast. "Cursed" with the ability to listen in on people's thoughts, she's also open-minded about the integration of vampires — particularly when it comes to Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But as Sookie is drawn into a series of mysteries surrounding Bill's arrival in Bon Temps, that tolerance will be put to the test.
A sexy, scary new drama from 'Six Feet Under' creator Alan Ball, 'True Blood' delves into the meticulously-crafted world of novelist Charlaine Harris

Ouch
That must stink

Meh, only once in a great while, I never watch TV now a days anyways, so it's not really a problem for me. As long as my Mom has Sci Fi, then we're all set. :-D

When cable TV came around while I was growing up, I was lucky enough to have all the premium channels so naturally when I went out on my own so to me it is a must have
Plus I am the one paying for it now

i've watched the entire season and am crying now that it's over...any series that starts out with a girl tied to the ceiling and a blonde waitress kicking butt has got to be watch worthy. ;)
the finale, perfect...i'm not sure if i can survive until next season.
-
I know it is a long time to wait
Summer of 2009
waaaaaaa.............no more Sookie
-
I've seen a few episodes of this show, and I agree..it's pretty good but definitely not "family oriented" material.

True Blood is an addiction for me and I'm miserable it won't air the next season until Summer. It's going to be based on the second book "Living Dead in Dallas," which is absolutely great. I'm glad Alan Ball is changing a lot up in the series because I love Bill and I'll be devastated if the relationship with him and Sookie is severed. The next season with the Maenad should be great-and Eric will be more prominent next season! Still, Team Bill though.
I've read the entire Southern Vampire Series by Charlaine Harris-and I'm hooked on those as well. The show has done a great job at representing Charlaine's world as well as giving it it's own spin with great character development.
Eric is absolutely delectable in the books. So is Bill though. Tall, dark, handsome and a southern gentleman ... that's for me.
If anyone has ANY questions about this show or the actors and even the books feel free to ask me....I am addicted beyond belief. I don't know how to deal without Dead and Gone not coming out until May 2009....I've read the first chapter already and it's so good.
