Title: Hands Resist Him
Post by: Lord Pisces luffy on July 22, 2006, 05:31:53 AM
This was  a painting I found on Ebay a few years back and just now found an article on it.  The Haunted Painting  "Hands Resist Him"

http://www.castleofspirits.com/hauntedpainting.html

By the way, it says near the bottom that people that have looked at these pictures have feelings of illness or vistors in the middle of the night, which I never did but yeah....

Great post, Luffy! Reminds me of the "crying boy" phenomena here in England. http://www.ghoststudy.com/monthly/jun03/tears.html

Looking at the official website, it seems that the Hands Resist Him painting was the inspiration for Supernatural's Provenance episode.

I don't understand why this didn't bother me as much as it did you.

Am I missing something?  It looks as though the figures in the painting moved around at night and the seller caught it on film?

Some people are very sensitive to certain things, items claiming to be "possessed" really bug me. But others laugh and brush it off. Robert the Doll still keeps me up at night...

Wow, that is a disturbing painting. I do feel rather sick whenever I view it, then when I'm not it seems to ease down. I'm a little afraid to click and get a better view....  Very peculiar and interesting.  :-)

I'm really confused here.. I'm pretty sensative to things... but this just looks like a normal painting to me. I like it actually. Except I want to smack the snotty look off that kids face.... other than that...

I didn't really find any of those pictures disturbing, nor scary....I actually thought the one with the child by the window kinda funny. He looks like Frankenstein with normal-colored skin. Heh...

I personally would love to own these paintings.  I would hang them from my bed room walls.  And no I am not joking or boasting.  I found both hands and laughing paintings to appeal to me.
