Title: Ghost fingerprints on my receipt?
Post by: Morton on November 25, 2007, 08:17:41 AM
I am very puzzle by a situation which happened last night and i think there could be a ghost invloved it all started last night. i was tucking up for bed and then i heard my mum scream out, she was having a nightmare about a ghost pulling her sheets off her then i tucked up again and fell asleep for good, then just as i was sleeping i heard some more shouts and screams it was my mum again having exactly the same nightmare where the ghost was pulling the sheets off her bed then after that i fell asleep then when i woke up it was morning then my mum telled me that she went shopping at boots yesterday and that she got a reicept from boots and she showed me that there were 3 very big blur blobs on the reicept and there was nothing what so ever to have done that over night exept maybe a ghost it was not ink as it dident sink through it wasent black chalk as it wouldent smudge and also i noticed 2 fingerprints on the receipt itself and when the smudge happened my mum never even touched the paper and when i push my finger into it no finger print appeared. i am very puzzled about this incidence and dont think its juust a coincidence about my mum dreaming about the ghost too do any of you have any idea what it could be?

the receipt is probally carbon paper. I do know that if someone has very warm hands it can leave imprints on the paper of their fingers. it was probally the cashier pulling the receipt. Sometimes the paper will take hours to show if any prints will appear. A way to test if it is carbon paper is to hold it by a toaster or over it depends on toaster (make sure the toaster is on and don't put the paper too close it can burn it) hold it on a specific spot and it will start to blacken. Your finger print will stay white and the paper turns black, nifty experiment. A lot of stores are using this paper now cause it is cheaper and more easy to fix if there is a paper jam and it is easier to rip.

The nightmares about the ghost thing is different though. The paper can be explained I have seen it all the time and it freaks people out.

That's very true. We used it at my last job and it is pretty neat to heat it up and see what happens.

The dream is another thing entirely. What else had your mother done that day? Ran into someone she knows? Movies? Anything can trigger dreams and visitations.

Some people also have a different pH balance in their skin, which can manifest in just those kinds of paper.
