Highway Ghosts

Has anyone ever seen a "highway ghost"? I have a few times. For example this one time I was driving and I was fully aware or my surroundings. I see this man walking down the road and when I passed him I looked into the review mirror and he was gone! Another time I was driving at this man came out of no where and stepped really close to the edge of the road and made me swerve but I only saw him for a split second. Enough to make he swerve. I looked in all the mirrors and he was no where to be found. (and no I didn't run over him lol) There was also this other time I was in the passenger seat with my mom and I saw this man walking along he highway and we were coming up behind him. We passed him and I looked back behind us and there was no one there.
