I just recently perfomed a protection ritual for a buddy having spiritual problems, i used burning fresh sage all around the perimeter of the house and sat in the center to begin. My ritual was successful but i had a question. I have been hearing alot lately that celantro the cooking ingredient can be used much like sage for repelling spirits. Has anyone tested this theory, i dont want to just up and use it and piss the spirit off if the theory is wrong.

"Cilantro" is a cooking spice, commonly used in Italian ethnic cuisine; so is Sage. Lady Griffin is right though. This does belong in Pagan Living.

I know you so enjoy hearing from me that you feel the need to post everything in my section, but Moloch is right.  I have moved this post to Pagan Living.

i highly dont recommend it according to irish /celt legend (whatever i know it was european or north of europe im hungry and mind is flailing) cilantro is a herb loved by death and can be given as a offering to the grim reaper in order to turn him back. SO i personally use it in necromantic prepartaions and some offerings. or in a zesty salsa coriander is the seeds of cilantro and they have two different flavors hince the two different names.

So what im getting out of this is that i can use it to gather the unwanted spirits in the area in use banishing spells to keep them away from the victims they are terrorizing.

With above theories i put it all together and i got that. I know it makes no sense but i have to mess things up once before i get things right so do you think the new theory is downright wrong or feasible

Harsh guys harsh. Well thats the great thing about putting stupid things out there you find the flaws and fix them, so allow to repost. If cilantro by the Celtic beliefs draws death or the grim reaper i could use it to attract him to my location and with him i could find the unwanted spirits  and banish them from their current location. Or does this still sound ridiculous

It is used to distract Death, not con it into assisting you.  Death works for no one but itself.

yah cilantro is more like something you burn if  a spel whent wrong and a death spirit came and your soul was on the line or perhaps a offering ot nevromantic spirits if anything it would atract necromantic psirits to the area and the seeds are used in a famous love philter described in one of my favorite books mastering witchcraft 0:) as i really love that book :0
