A new movie called "White Noise" shows the dead communicating through high frequency waves, and people with one San Antonio company say the voices from the dead are not a fabrication of Hollywood.

In the movie, the dead try communicating through household recording devices. The process is called Electronic Voice Phenomenon, or EVP.

Guillermo Fuentes, with San Antonio Paranormal Investigations, says he has captured the phenomenon.

Fuentes let News 4 WOAI hear some of the recordings.

"Are you a female?" Fuentes asked in an empty room. After the question, a voice is heard saying, "Yes."

Fuentes also recorded something else in the basement of the Jailhouse Cafe last year.

"What is your name?" Fuentes asked in the basement.

A voice on the tape replied, "Molly."

One of Fuentes' colleagues captured another voice at a cemetery in New Braunfels, as a funeral precession was passing by.

"I'm going to let these cars go by," the investigator said on the tape. "There is a lot of activity right now."

A voice then said, "Let these people pass."

"It's not until playback, until you rewind the tape and listen that's when you realize someone or something was answering to your questions," Fuentes says of the recordings.

But sometimes, the dead just speak.

In a south side home built in the 1950s, one of the first owners was a witch or a Curandero. According to some neighbors, the person used the house for black magic or black witchcraft.

Fuentes recorded a voice saying "Satan" just two months ago.

Fuentes tells News 4 WOAI that they only capture sound 10% of the time. For more information on EVP, check ParanormalInvestigations.org.

as an investigator/demonologist I have several evps on file. I would say I am able to collect an evp approx. 40% of the time.

Im gunna go see that movie it sounds fun alog with boogie man and hide and seek

The movie sucks...the phenomenon, on the other hand, is very cool and very real.
