Ok, im new to monstrous and i found this gaming thread, basically my favourite type of games are Gorey and 'unsettling' type games but i also enjoy...well any other games :-D.
i currently own..

Bioshock
CoD-world at war
Enchanted Arm (Rip off of Final Fantasy)
Resistance
Killzone
The list goes quite far but thats games im interested in at the moment :), Fear 2 is probably my fave at the moment its the only game thats made me wow at how gorey games can get.. Storyline wise... not so great but that little girl is creepy.
I'm starting this tread so that people can share there opinions and there games that i may have never heard of. it would be nice to here from others who play 'World of Warcraft'.

My favorite games would have to be...
Final Fantasy (Except the online ones and XII, they didn't work on the real-time combat enough... Plus FF shouldn't have real-time combat)
Legend of Zelda (Recently, they've butchered the game, though. Nobody wants another 2D, DS Zelda, release a new, next-gen one for the consoles already! :x)
I haven't been gaming recently, but I'm waiting for the fall... Then we get Aion. Then in winter we get Starcraft 2. Good games coming up, but they're waiting for Christmas to release them all...
I used to like WoW.. Then I realized that playing a lvl 75 paladin and repeating the same stuff over and over again was just extremely boring so I quit. I'll play again when the next expansion comes out... maybe... That is, of course, if Blizzard's new MMO, which should be coming out it 2011, according to their "release 1 game every year" policy, doesn't completely take over WoW's fan base... In which case they won't bother with another pointless expansion and will stop spending all their budget on MMOs to finish the Starcraft 2 Trilogy before the events of the game actually happen IRL...

There's so much of that i agree with but i was never a big fan of zelda but a console version would be good ay! as for FF online and FFII yes they were terrible :) My brother played FFonline and it looked ok...but it just wasn't Final fantasy.
I still enjoy WoW but its starting to lose its touch (after 3 80's) but its just because my server is full of douches but yeah im hoping there's not another expansion with a lvl cap increase... think i would have to kill myself ..in game perhaps Starcraft 2 is gunna be good! and i wonder what MMo they'll release!

Dunno about the MMO, but I think I remember them saying it's not Starcraft, Diablo or Warcraft, which is pretty logical since they have WoW and are making sequels for the two others... Maybe they'll tell us what it is at BlizzCon... But it took them 10 years to confirm StarCraft 2, so you never know :-P
Square Enix is making FF XIV... It's another online version, so I don't expect much from it, but at least there's gonna be FFXIII soon...

Ok first of all...Moonbaby your now my favourite ..you may not play many games (so you say :P) BUT you read into the game. i tend to do that alot... so basically i would love to game along side you! :P
secondly... your diffinatly right about Silent Hill.. although i only play the first 2 and then kind lost interest i found it probably the 2 of the best games of there time (other than Resident evil 1 that just tops everything imo).
Project Zero, i like the look of it, the game play is very interesting, plain and simple though its an FPS without a gun :) but nontheless id still play it. RYOBI SAYS IT LOOKS SCARY ^_^.
As for GTA and Tomb raider ... san andreas ruined the games for me ... the whole eating thing made the game less enjoyable for me, im not a big fan of games going a bit to 'Real life' but thats just me. tom raider the first game was wicked .i wasn't aware that they had released one on PSP though so im gunna do look heh.
Just randomly. My day consisted of Killing nazi zombies and working, you may say thats strange but i say thats freakin' sweet! and i can't wait for FFXIII ^_^

The Tomb Raider games were wicked. I've never played any more except the first one for PS1 and the one for PSP, but since I liked them, I've pondered on maybe getting the others and giving them a go, but I can't seem to ever find them around here, maybe because they're so old or something.
But, yeah, look into the one Lara Croft game for PSP, because it has more action, adventure, combat, and a bit of mystery to it, more so than the first one. (That's in my opinion)
They made one in 2008, actually... Tomb Raider: Underworld. I have a couple friends who played it and they said it was great. Might give it a try...

The drums on rock band are bull.
Also, Kubesix and Lain you guys could atleast play together online, you both have PS3s by the sound of it?
I remember K6 mentioning Dead Space in another thread, which is yet another passion you both seem to share :-D

I couldn't sleep after we versed the regeneration monster, it just kept on coming and the background noise/soundtrack was too creepy to be allowed to be catchy as well.

Yes ...yes it is....ive finished the game 8-10times on easy and then it glitched on lvl 9 on Hard and now ive lost want to play cause getting to chapter 9 on hard is like beating my head on desk tbh its like *bang bang bang* oh s**t im out of ammo *melee melee melee* hmm non of the 128093472783647 monsters dropped ammo...*sigh*
Ive done every PS3 trophy for that game except finish on hard...and i refuse to do it. I can't wait for FFXIII

CoD World at war is fun online and nazi zombies is fun as...me and my bro 2 man it till lvl 14/15

idk I don't like World at War... They learned with Modern Warfare that modern shooters are better, then they switched back to WW2... Oh well, at least they're making Modern Warfare 2 now... I guess I just don't like the whole setting of World at War... I like my shooters when there are lots of powerful weapons and explosions... You can't get the powerful weapons in WW2 ^_^ (In other words, I have no idea what nazi zombies is XD)

Haha shooters are shooters no matter what.. i love them heaps ... World at war online play is fun, Nazi zombies well its kinda self explanatory its major fun...probably not something for Ryobi though :) basically just versing hordes and hordes of zombies, its great its incredibly hard to 2 man. :) Modern Warfare was fun too hehe, im stuck playing Fear2 and CoD: World at War and GH atm though. So im extremely busy xD

And when it comes to zombies, I'd rather play Left 4 Dead.. So much fun :-D

I don't know, I think the Wii needs a few... upgrades before I can appreciate a game on it... Low graphics compared to its competitors, the motion sensing isn't that great... At least, they're trying to do something about the motion sensing....

I agree... left 4 dead i haven't played but alot of ppl like it...fear 2 rocks.

Has anyone played the game Condemned? I heard it's really good. You're this FBI agent or whatever and you have to collect things from crime scenes. It's a survival horror/psychological horror first person shooter. The scary part is that you end up being sent to investigate murders and it leads you to a condemned city. You end up finding out why it was condemned the hard way :wink:
Also there's none of this "i shoot you 30 times before you die" bulls**t you find in most first person shooters nowadays, as guns are very rare and so is ammunition. That means guns are especially lethal and very useful. Much more than melee combat.
That's what I heard from my brother who got the game recently. Any of you ever heard of it? There's a sequel, but not on PC, only on PS3 and XBox 360. I was planning on buying a 360 soon anyways...

So, there's a 3rd expansion for WoW in development... WoW: Cataclysm
2 new races (Goblin for Horde and Worgen for Alliance)
1 new profession (Archeologist)
New race/class combos such as Blood Elf Warrior
Modified maps like the Broken Barrens, which was torn in half by the Cataclysm (sounds good, I never liked the Barrens :|)
Flying Mounts in Azeroth.
Thoughts? If it turns out to be good, I might just reactivate my account :3 (But Aion looks better and from what I saw when my bro played the Chinese Beta, it's much better)

What I found funny in the trailer was when the voice over boomed 'the world has been broken', soz but World of Warcraft began to be broken long ago by Blizz themselves, when they first introduced that lvl 70 expansion... then entirely after the WOTLK.

Nah, Wotlk healed some wounds from BC's traumatic release...but this new expansion looks like its changing the face of WoW ...so players MIGHT become more interested in lvling again cause of the renovation of some/all area's....its deffinatly made me more interested in WoW again

Yeh I'm starting to get excited. They say that it's eventually going to rise to lvl 100 but nothing after that. I hope that in the next few expansions they are able to heal the game entirely, more interesting raids like kara used to be (with the chess board etc), soloing the older raids with you was some of the most entertaining times I've had playing the game. Also levelling out the classes so they're all about equal power, but that's nearly impossible.
Got to say though, mounted combat looks fun as and WOTLK did bring at least a few improvements like that :-D
