I think the games have gone downhill since the first one. The first original halo was by far the best. It was very happy and destructive. The halos now are getting progressively more depressing.

I have heard this one may redeem the series but I heard that about all the other ones as well. I would still call first my favorite since all the others got boring quick.

I do not look forward to this release and I doubt i will buy this game.

You've got Spartans on the ground, we're not going anywhere........

I played the beta and enjoyed it, though I'm kinda disappointed at the "Classes", I can say I've enjoyed the Halo story, and the Spartan III's were something I'd been wanting to see for a while. I'll remain optimistic about Reach, I can definitely say that I would spend the money to get the extra files as well as the figures, but that's just me.

yay blood gulch 2.0, its bigger

also i found this on bungie.net...

As a testament to the anticipation for its release, more than 2.7 million "Halo" fans helped make entertainment history this month by participating in the "Halo: Reach" multiplayer beta on Xbox LIVE, making it the largest console video game beta test on record and more than triple the size of the "Halo 3" beta. Players completed more than 13 million online games and logged over 16 million hours of online gameplay, amounting to over 1,826 years of total play time in just over a two-week period. The data and user feedback gathered from the beta will help Bungie and Microsoft further refine the game and deliver a blockbuster experience that fans have come to expect from the "Halo" franchise.

impressive huh.

i see microsoft already have plans to milk this for all its worth long after halo is finished:

"Microsoft is going to keep making products based on the "Halo" franchise, but "Reach" will be the last from Bungie, which shipped the first version in late 2001."

but at least there a whole host of pointless forms of transport to use

"Then there's the forklift. "Reach" has all sorts of new vehicles to drive, ranging from a fighter jet flown in space combat to a lowly forklift that players can drive, very slowly, just for the heck of it."

for those of you that care to read the full article i found these in here:
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2012525549_halo4.html

and on on a bonus note i do believe the game is finished and awaiting certification...

its obvious ESRB is going to make it 18 or whatever the American equivalent is.
