Black Dogs and the Hat man

A couple of weeks ago  three times I saw these black dogs that would dash by and disappear into thin air. I saw one in daylight and the other two at night and they were blacker than black. I would watch them run by then just all of a sudden disappear. I saw it in three different places. What do you think it was? I hope it wasn't a hell hound. What do you think it means? The same day I saw the dogs I saw a Shadow human like figure with a top hat on and I looked at it for a while and it didn't disappear for a min. I didn't see it out of the corner of my eye I saw it direct on. The hat man I suppose? Could these dogs and "hat man" mean something? Like a warning of some sort? Am I in trouble? I haven't seen them sense....Should I be worried?
