the plight of witchcraft

This is another, issue i've developed over the years with practicing witchcraft, the fractioning that's been happening, and the disturbing rise in those who perceive some superioirity for their, choice of pursuing the art...
i'll start out with wiccans, i have the biggest complaint about this particular group, it started out good, and i'll credit it with paving the way for the acceptance of neoearth religions...but look at what it's become.
an organization with rules, reeds, creeds and depending on the, denomination...a book. You than have the groups, the traditional and the solitarians...groups are the usual coven type of gatherings that have some questionable group, spirituality, the traditionals are the ones i tend to have the biggest issue with, they're the ones that believe because they come from..."some long line of witches" grants them some divine greatness, allowing them secret knowledges...and finally the solitarians, these aren't so bad, they sort of just do their own thing, in their own way...but to come from...wild women unable to adjust to living in polite society, rumored to dabble in deals with devils to the mass media hype that's made witchcraft a household name, relying on the very techniques that destroyed the world of witchcraft to found theirs in that image?
and then there's all the titles...anything and everything from old school d&d magick to the most recent, online game beliefs of what is capable of being done magickally. What happened to witchcraft, and how has it become so, organized...have we sold our souls for the desire to be accepted as more than malicious whores for the devil and his minions?

I agree...loner here too. Generally wiccan, more because it's convenient to have something to say when people ask than anything else.

it's sort of fun though when they see my pentacle and ask if i'm wiccan, and then i reply..."no, i'm a witch" they look so puzzled. 0:)
