more like us using specialized tools is older than we thought. It really doesn't surprize me. That region and the middle east have been very advance since humans first came to these regions. At one point east asia, the islands, and australia were much more advanced than most of the world in their creation of stone tools.

also thought it was funny that the first link put up a pic of artifacts that were not of the discussion. The real photos can be found in the actual article which is linked onto that link.

Australian Aboriginals are believed to possess the oldest continuous culture which is reputed to stretch back over 50 000 years. As you stated, at one point, they were the most advanced culture in existence but due to the peculiar natural conditions of Australia, certain existing technologies like the bow were gradually discarded
