Title: Tarot: Type / Spreads
Post by: Anaya on September 13, 2010, 10:25:52 PM
Hopefully this is the right section but I was wondering if there was anyone here who used Tarot?

If so, what are your favorite spreads?

Have you ever made your own? (If so, please share!)

What card does your deck say represents you?

---

I own two decks currently and hopefully will get a third for my birthday here soon but I really like the three card spread 'myself' where the first card is who you are, second is what you need to do, and third is how to fix it.

Yes, I have! It is as follows:

Uses: answer questions to do with goals and directions (where I want to be/where I am heading) or general situation questions.

^ This is the way my friend sets her version of this up. Both ways work :D

[] IS A CARD UP RIGHT
= IS A CARD SIDEWAYS
+ IS TWO CARDS ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER IN A CROSS
- IS TWO CARDS ON TOP/OVERLAPPING TO THE SIDE
| IS TWO CARDS ON TOP/OVERLAPPING UP RIGHT
. ARE SPACES :D

1: the situation
2: Factor
3: factor
4: desired outcome
5: interference
6: factor
7: factor
8: current path outcome
Sum of Digits: advice

Yeah, I call it: Wise Up :)

(Sum of Digits:
Page, Knight, Queen, and King have no Value
Minor Arcana with # is # Value
Major Arcana is # Value from 0-21

Example: two of wands, a page of pentacles, the star = 2+0+17 = 19 = 1+9 = 10 = 1+0 = 1.

Then look up Major Arcana and that's your advice!)

I used to do tarot, once upon a time. I stopped after I got really good at it and was able to give details without any input from the person I was reading. I got a little creeped out and put it away, of course that was seven years ago...or was it nine...oh well, still interesting stuff though.

Once but it was when I was wondering where my relationship would go... I eventually broke it off for my own good and I'm glad I did.

The deck I have now did that after a two hour break with one card draw. I was slow to figure it out.
