Thanks that was interesting.... but what am I seeing then?  Maybe I can explain it to you and someone may have an answer:

I usually see an outline of misty colour around a person.  it is usually 1 colour per person, but sometimes, like if a couple have just had sex, they each have the other's colour around their own colour for a few days, and I have noticed the same effect with longtime married couples or long time partners.  The colour is uniform aound the person, and sort of tapers off towards the torso.
I have discovered that people with cold "auras" like blues, greens, whites are not to be trusted, whereas people with warm coloured "auras" like orange, red and pink are very trustworthy.  Some people I have met have a black outline (it looks like clouds before a huge thunderstorm), these people scare me and make me very wary.  The few people I have met with this black swirling mass of an aura have proven to be dangerous and violent.
When the person is healthy and happy, the aura is radiantly bright, and if the person is depressed or ill, the aura becomes progressively duller.
I also try to avoid closed rooms like nightclubs, because i see too many colours together, and because most people are high on something or just happy to be there, they are very bright - i get very claustrophobic!
Please help - what am i seeing if it is not auras?  Do you think I am seeing into people souls????

I believe you are seeing aurors but you have a much deeper insight on them then most people.

You think so?  I have always called them auras to myself, but after reading that website, I got very confused, because, according to it I should be seeing mulitcoloured auras!

I think the insight gained is what I have learned over the years - sometimes through bad experiences.  For instance I had always thought that the blackness I saw around some people was loneliness, and not violence, until I met my ex-husband who was surrounded by this dark swirling mass, and felt sorry for him.  Eventually came to fall in love with him, and married him, only to discover his true nature in the 5 years of marriage.  Now i avoid people with that swirling mass, as it is definitely a sign that the person is evil and dangerous.

I wish I could find out how to turn this on or off!  Sometimes i can go for days without seeing the colours, and then all of a sudden its as if there is a switch that gets thrown and my senses are assailed by these vibrant colours!  The longest this has been "turned off" has been a month, but there is no specific pattern - i actually keep a diary to try and discern a pattern!  I thought at one stage it was due to my own moods and emotions, but have now been able to cross that idea off my list!

Not to make a new thread... and since it's about the site's contents...

I read it and found the whole "seeing the aura" thing almost too easy... It would appear I did it correctly the whole time but I used a dark (nearly black) background and the color was different (very dark red)... while on a white background I saw a turquoise aura (which matches my psychological profile in over 95% btw, not some test, a real psychologist explained my profile to me).

What I'm asking is: I used the computer screen (white background) as the background with lights turned on (I saw turquoise) and then with lights turned off (emitting only from the screen... and I saw a white aura)... which aura is "the one"?

Or am I doing things wrong?

Since the "auras" that I see are very visible in any light and at any time, I cannot comment on whether you are doing this right or wrong!  Maybe there is someone else here who will be able to shed light on the matter.
I would be interested to read anything about it, coz I am unable to see my own aura, and I have tried the way described in the article.  I wonder why this is?
The auras that I see just are there - i dont have to try and see them at all and like i said in a previous reply, they come and go!

I wouldn't rely on the website too much, I think some people see auras differntly.

Hmm... actually, after trying it out with some friends I always saw a turquoise outline, so I'm not sure if it was an aura or not... after all... what's the chance of seeing the same "aura" in 3 different people (altough we've got similar personalities)... I don't know if I just need to practice more to see the right color or I'm not seeing the aura at all... for example, I'm unable to see any aura around my head. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

PS. One of my friends also saw a turquoise outline... what's that mean?
