Title: Stonehenge
Post by: bridigid on January 04, 2009, 02:42:19 PM
as there are posts on this section
on the history of Stonehenge,
I am going to just mention what I was told by my stepmother.

She is English, and grew up near there,
having picnics by the stones
and climbing up and on them, as well.

She says that the stones were always chilled,
even in the warm weather
and had a faint vibration easily felt
by her and her friends.

Whatever the origins and use of the site,
the residue was still felt strongly
all these years later, which in itself is a amazing.

wasn't the stonehenges used during the time of druidism? even some people agree that it didn't look like that during at it'peak time and it was used for a ritual purposes.

according to pseudoscience (i don't know where they got this but i certainly recall reading this from an article from long ago and i still remember it until now because of too much shock and trauma), aliens or extra terrestrials were the ones who created the stonehenges along with the other pyramids coz for other people, the stones were too heavy to lift and no man made force could've done that. it was also said that aliens were the ones who created civilization for us and when they left, they erased our memories of them.

meh..i don't know what to believe *sigh*

Actually Vince, the structure now known as Stonehenge predates "druidism" by many thousands of years. It was originally constructed by the Windmill Hill culture, an agrarian people living in southern Britain during the Neolithic.
The invading non-Goidelic Celts who came to Britain from what is now known as France were the ones who had druids, and they eventually displaced the Windmill Hill culture and adopted usage of Stonehenge from them, but not for very long and never for its intended use.

Couple of buddies of mine and I had came up with a theory that Stonehenge's true nature has nothing to do with what people are saying, such as it being a ceremonial burial site, or used for pagan worship. We believe that at one point in time the Van Allen Belt, when it was activated, could of also activated Stonehenge for time and space traveling. Doesn't the opening spaces of Stonehenge looks like a portal? Stonehenge may have been the real stargate....
