I live in scotland to be specific, Nairn in the highlands. There have been many sightings of large puma like cats in and around the area. No one knows for sure what species they are though, it's only believed them are pumas due to the descriptions given and tracks that have been found. I myself have seen (from a distance) one of the large cats from a distance, and have heard noises which i would've said to be yoewling in Culbin forest (a large national park nearby) at night.

I was just wondering if anyone else had ever seen anything like this.....or heard of "The cat of Moary" as the creatures have been dubbed up here.

I have heard of these large cats. Allegedly, they can be found in several areas besides yours though.

i heard about a story over there about a rich couple who owned a lot of property let their panthers (they might have been female lions I can't remember) walk around and they were their pets. From what I was told was that they got out because they were not paying attention to them ( I think one of the owners died) and that they were wandering around that area. Now what I want to know if that story is true or not because that might be why there are large cat sighting in Scotland (even though it would be so cool if it were a random animal that no one ever knew exsisted there). I am not sure if it was Scotland because my source just said the UK, so I don't know...

hmmm i don't remember ever hearing about that, though i'm sure if it had been somebodies pets who escaped there would've been some mention of it.....wouldn't there?

i'm with you it would be rather cool if it were some undiscovered species
