Anyway entering the Faerie realm is tricky. Mostly because no one is sure where it is. They could live on earth, in the astral realm or in their own entirely. Or maybe they live everywhere in all realms. Kinda like how humans can live and adapt to live anywhere why can't faeries?

So once you establish where a faerie "nest" is then that makes it easier. I need a better word then nest but oh well.

A spirit should find it easier to go to their realm. Since they are more astral creatures then physical a spirit would have vibrations more compatible with theirs. That means that makes interaction easier. If you can do it in a physical body then a spiritual body only makes it easier. That means if it is easier it is more plausible.

I don't see why a spirit could not go to the faerie realm. However that does not mean the faeries will be nice.

As for actual experience I have never attempted it.

Regarding Spirits.
I agree with Matt. But here in my home land of Bonnie Scotland, where most of the fae supposedly live it is generally accepted that the fairie realm and the spirit realm are one and the same. Also in the caves off the coast of my home town of Ayr, bellow Culzean Castle is where all the Fae from all over the world meet once a year on Halloween to attend their annual meeting known as the Seelie Court.

Ladygriffin is absolutely correct. The event of visiting the wee folk is very similar to that of alien abduction (many people believe they are one and the same with fairies using glamor to appear in a more scientifically acceptable fashion, but that's a conversation for another time). Time passes slower there. But I am sick of telling people not to do things, call demons, visit fairies, pee on electric fences. Do it and see if you wish. This website is dedicated to things like this. You want to do it then go. But research first so you are armed with everything you can be and don't complain that no one told you it was dangerous. Cause that's all we ever seem to do. I am tired of being negative. I am gonna meet some fairies and then I am gonna play with my Ouija board. Why are we afraid to experience that we have all come to this website to gather our knowledge on? I am not saying raise yourself a demon or kick a wendigo in the nuts. But I am gonna live a little and enjoy this magical world. WHO IS FREAKING WITH ME!!!!!

Which is exactly why i am wary of them. I would love to meet them... but when they invite me to come play with them i will just have to say no.

Alright I am in, who has an Ouija board? We will also need a goat (to sacrifice). You must spill the goat's blood all over the board then burn a bible or two. *this is funny do not actually try this as you will get hurt* (I think I may put disclaimers as signatures now)

I wouldn't interrupt the yearly gatherings of any creatures as an outsider. That may quickly gain you entrance... as the main dish.
I would try to not go to a group of Faeries for a first greeting. Try just learning about them and see if you can attract them to your own environment. Try setting up a garden for them or even an alter with an offering of some sort. (I think you can use a garden as an offering but that is permanent if you do that, no take backs) Read up on lore and see what comes to you. You don't want to have them go through a door into an  uncomfortable environment. You could try making a door yourself in the garden.

Careful on declining an offer you may offend them. If they offered me a dance I think I would accept out of curiosity. I'm sure they know a few fun games. (beat the human, eat the human, use the human for fishing bait, etc.) I would still be cautious of what they are playing at. They would not make an offer to just anyone unless they planed on removing that individual. If you gain their trust or liking then that is a different story. Until then be cautious, they are being cautious of you as well.

hmm... are there any good sites or anything that you know of for finding things out about faeries? if not then you dont have to do all of this research on it im just starting to get curious about them as well.

Because I live in Scotland 99% of our folklore is fae or fae related. This isnt research. This is like a pub quiz. Lol. And no. i am not going to interupt the Seelie Court. Men are banned from it. They wont kill you but they will either remove your eyes or turn you into one of them.

The fae don't realy hate us, but see us as lesser creatures. Play things. Fae are vastly more inteligent but still are very child like in nature. Imagine the worst tempere three year old, now imagine it with near god like powers. The ointment for your eyes allows you to see the fairy folks. You can use it to initiate a meeting with them. A faerie circle can be any size. They can naturally occur to occupy up to about 4 humans. They arent good or evil. Just insanely emotional.

Would that description apply to members of both the Seelie and Unseelie court? Some people have tried to seperate the two factions on the coventional basis of good and evil, but folklore seems to suggest otherwise.

The unseelie court it more open to non fae. The seelie are the pure bloods while the unseelie takes halfbloods. They are alot more forgiving of trespassers.

Thats hard to answer. You see goblins, elves andgnomes are considered types of fae folk. Basically, more than you can imagine. This may be due to the fae ability to cross breed with anything. And I mean anything. Animals, humans, fish, vegetables and best of all, other supernatural creatures. Which would explain the likes of most celtic forms of monsters that all seem to carry the fairy avoidence to iron. That plus with the fairy glamor ability to appeare any way they want you could have 2 of the same breed that look nothing alike.
