Well, at least if they find it with her, they know more about it now and can do things to help make it tolerable.
No worries, I'm not too worried about Off Topic as long as it doesn't go on for multiple posts.

Let's see... This isn't something that left me with a Phobia, but at the time I think everyone involved was sorta scared s**tless.

My friends and I made a trip to visit some folks... Sitting around the dinner table, asking questions, listening to "jokes" about the Moose in the area.
Afterwards we all went outside, and had a snowball fight.
A Moose walked out into the yard. It's been a few years, so I'm not sure what we did when we first saw it, but I do remember it chased us...
We went down over the yard onto the garage ( multi level housing & property, really pretty set up ) and it fell through the garage... got up and continued to chase us until we ran into the house.
We were all screaming until we got in there.
Then of course, we all started laughing and teasing eachother for being scared of a Moose.

that is scary because moose are dangerous I saw a special National Geographic about people being attacked and stomped by moose

If you can't beat 'em - join 'em.

Call me a monster and I'll grin.
Cal me a sinner and my grin will get grinner.

Alright,  it makes sense now. I can understand that... cause, Azzy is terrified of spiders, but only because of their Faces.

I don't think this is funny, but my family does. The other day a garter snake got into the house and hid under the fridge, didn't see it until the first time it crawled out from under there around lunch when I was getting up to get a drink. Thought it was a rubber snake my brothers managed to get to scare our mom, and when the thing started going back under the fridge, I nearly jumped out of my skin. Not one of my proudest moments, seeing as I'm the one who is always calm about snakes in the family.
When we are not curious about the world around us, we might as well be dead.

i get these at my house alllll the time.
i actually have a funny story, last summer when i was in Vermont staying with family my boyfriend and i woke up to a bat flying around our room. my boyfriend decided he was going to catch it, and threw the blankets over it but all of a sudden another one came out of nowhere! my boyfriend took one leap out the door and down the stairs, leaving me there in the room with a massive bat flying around my head! needless to say we didn't sleep in that room for the rest of the time we stayed there, and i still haven't let him live down the fact that he left me in the room lol. i have always loved bats and found them fascinating and still do. im not scared or traumatized, i just love this story

*giggle* It's a little funny. Admit it. Especially because it's an unusual reaction for you.

I'll see what I can find, if someone doesn't beat me to it... and I'll post it to the Strange Animals topic  :-)
It sounds like they're common enough to be able to pull something up.

Now that... is funny.

With some of the encounters I've had you would think I would have developed a phobia of something.
Sure, I've developed a sort of leery attitude towards some Spiders because of my encounters with them...
Especially Recluses. Nothing like waking up with one of those suckers on your belly.

EDIT: Most of the post has been removed...

Simple...wasps, can't stand them! Only my weapon against one last time was Lex's hairspray and shutting it in the window, not throat spray...that stuff'll kill anything...freeze it's wings out in midair probably... :-P

I also hate spiders, I TOTALLY 100% agree with Azzy on that one...though the M-80 in the tank wasn't the best idea dude...there are better ways to kill those creatures!

The most Wonderful animal encounter = the Wolves of Yellowstone, absolutely magical to see them and be maybe 10 feet from them 8-) How typical of me, right? Wolves?

Strange? -  I almost hit a moose driving in Quebec one time, came outta NOWHERE...totally missed it by a few inches (I didn't hit, but there was fur on my bumper cuz of that!) and the darn thing came walking up the street in the town I was in and gave me a stare when I was outside a cafe...2 days later. A - It's in a town and B - It remembered me! Priceless!

Thats one real cool Northern exposure event Wolfie xD

Thanks Nina! ^^

The time I almost got in a 4 car pile up with an gasoline tanker near Fairbanks and had to go off into the ditch and almost into a lake is another one of Wolfie's many "Northern Exposure stories", but that doesn't have to do with animals, LOL! ^^

I really do like it up there in Canada (and Alaska) but that may be my wolf spirits influence, longing for the arctic!

Oh, it's beautiful and love it there, Anchorage is my town...that is my spiritual home you know, my wolf wants to live in Alaska more than life itself at times...my D-shifts are all set in Alaska or sometimes...Nord-du-Quebec ^^

I need to get to back to my "technical" hometown in Sweden someday...Giron, but I'll probably die before that happens, more likely next Vaca will be back to Paris or Martinique...one of the few Sami words I remember is the name of that town...
